You really need to stop bracketing sports clubs with the likes of Asda and using this line of argument. It just shows you don't have a grasp of public relations and how they differ between the two. No one on the planet gives a stuff who runs Asda in the same way that fans of sports teams have a legitimate interest in who their coach will be and who will be playing for them next season. It's part of being a supporter. I don't care for example if you start working for Asda or not. Neither would I care if the business pages of the BBC were speculating who the next chairman of Morrison's might be.

However plenty of people care who our next coach will be because that is what fans are interested in and it is good PR to feed the fans information in a timely manner. Not treat them as an afterthought. Do that and they are less likely to do things like buy tickets for play-off games and spend money at the club.
Personally as long as hes told who matters to him and the people it will effect within his company I couldnt care less if Im the last person to know, it wont stop me paying money to his company nor will it stop me supporting his company.
You don't support a company you support a team. It really is a daft thing to say just for the sake of argument.
This is a stupid argument that keeps reoccuring, when the time is right it will be released officially when its not the media and social networks and people like you can continue to moan speculate and seive through the rumours.
IL has had his hand forced too many times already to show he does not have enough control over matters to behave as he does. Others affected break the silence and he just looks like he isn't actually in control of the situation.

If the decision has been made on anything they should just announce it and that kind of thing would be avoided. If as Josie tells us Wane is the coach then I am sure the players know so I fail to see the point of any delay.
I think we are getting a picture of IL only releasing things when its concrete and when he wants to as fans/paying customers we will have to like it or lump it.
You are ignoring the fact others release information without paying any attention to him. Souths broke the story Madge was their coach for example and IL had to react. Harris has gone public Wigan is an option.
Incidentally since he has taken over this company has it done better, has it increased revenues, has it turned a profit? etc etc etc
And other teams equally successful have better PR.

Whether it is a sports team, service or a shop it matters not, the bottom line is how much profit that company makes end of Dave, thats it! Companies can choose to be public with info or private they choose who works for them and who doesnt but all any company strives for is profit!

We win silverware we make more profit, we sign players to be better to win silverware to make profit!

If IL was public he may of said we have offered Harris a deal but it depends on Thomas and the RFL but dont worry Wane is head man, all that would achieve is uncertainty. What is certain Dave is that until we are knocked out or until the comp finishes MM is our head coach and Wane is our assistant, thats certain, thats what we have. Concentrating on that and finishing this year as high as we can is far more important than responding to the rumour mill for next year and onwards!

IL is a shrewd business man he is no mug and its probably fair to say hes smarter than you or I when it comes to running a rugby club as a business, so running with that theme Id take a punt at saying hes doing pretty well and knows what hes doing!

Or what he could do is listen to a couple of crazy fans bickering and confirm every rumour to keep us happy?!?!

Bill. Did you also enjoy a chuckle when Widnes did the same to them by snatching Jonathan Davies at the last minute?

My biggest problem is whilst we seem to be playing worse each week, all we here about Madge is how much work he's already doing with Souths. He fired 3 last week after several Skype interviews. Ok its in his own time but i would sooner him being worried about wigan than about Souths.
