But could the rent etc be increased to cover the loss of income due to them dropping down ? I'm sure IL said it's better financially fir WRLFC if latics remained in the premiership .

Although I don't like latics I would not like to see us suffer in the pocket both as a club and fans due to increased prices on the gate, bars and merchandise . Just a thought .

Not very happy about this, & have told Sean, as every other team always has us for their players testimonials eg: Jon Clarke, Lee Briers, Paul Deacon to name a few.

Plus, we aren't usually allowed to play testimonials at the DW stadium & you can't play a testimonial for one of your players at an away venue! So it will more than likely be held at Orrell!!
if thats right its a disgrace! Sean is an amazing assest to Wigan and deserves much better!

End of that decussion? What a sad state of affairs it Is that most people are happy to play at a football ground, the once mighty Wigan warriors playing second fiddle to a football team, it's a disgrace, what a ground central park was it felt like a rugby ground and it was ours and then all of a sudden it gets sold and fans are happy to play at a very standard football ground

The biggest advantage of the DW, compared to building our own is the size. It hold 25000 and we are one of only 2 RL teams with a chance of filling it. Why spend a fortune on a new stadium like Saints or Wire, only for it to be sold out every week. Think of lost revenue.

Plus the rent is so low at the moment. We know we are second in line to the Latics, but they are a Premier League team. Things may change when they get relegated and Wheelen really needs our cash, but at the moment we have a great stadium for very little outlay.

All the other large stadiums played on by RL teams share with football teams, but as these are not premier teams then they have a bit of leeway.

Ok so our friendlies are all away from home, so what, I prefer an away match, and support is always more vocal.

As long as its not Hudds, i remember paying £20 in the snow a few seasons ago, just to see Trent. He didn't appear though as it was to cold.
