I know it takes time for a prop to settle into a new team, but if he was unable to replicate his NRL form in Perpignan, he'd be even less likely in the north of England. The weather/lifestyle/culture is much closer to the south of France than here, plus I think he's touching 30 years of age.
Was Ryles under Robinson at Cats or somebody else?
One of the Walters brothers if my memory serves me right, a poor coaching stint too.

A very overrated player IMO that said it is my opinion and each of us has our own!
I agree Wes, I think he is very overrated at the moment, but another way of looking at ii is this, was Tommy 'that good' before he came to Wigan? Could Chase improve as much as Tommy has at Wigan? My guess is under the current regime Chase could improve tenfold, whether I want him at Wigan though is another matter. Would keep Tommy anyday of the week, unfortunately that is not happening!
I would tend to agree with this. Wane does appear to prefer "Work In Progress" players as opposed to ones who could be more square pegs into round holes

He was under Kevin Walters during the final year of that coach's unsuccessful time at Catalans, and then continued last season under the guidance of their new coach, Trent Robinson. Hope that clears up Ryles' stay at Catalans.

Ryles Catalan Record:-

2009 Catalans Dragons 21 2 0 0 8

Seems he was there for only a season before Robinson.

He is no way a Man of Steel, I still say this so called competition is fixed no matter how they say it is judged!!!
I agree. I think the year Roby won it ahead of Trent proved that.
