Dwisio rhoi hwn yn gymraeg ond dwi ddim isio bod yn anghwyrtais ar pobl arall. This is not a rude or nasty message as the Welsh warrior can confirm if needed.Welsh Warrior posted:
Dear Mr Gimble,
Didn't realise you were Welsh. I for 1 do speak Welsh and take great exception fo your comment. I didn't mind England winning the lasat world cup. In fact it was a nice change for as northtern hemisphere side to win it. Full of part time supporters eh. Think you should have been in Cardiff last Saturday. Really think Stephen Jones may have gone to France for the same reasons Faz ment To RU. Not really sure tho. Cannot blame either though and really do wish them both the best of luck. Wishing Faz the best of luck could really come back and haunt me though. I am a guy who really prefers league to union. Reasons I won't go into here. If you really think all South Walians are plastic come and have a chat. I wear my Welsh jersey with pride along with my warrior jersey.
My major bone of contention with South Walians stems from the way Union is treated up in North Wales. Over the last say half century the game has been so under developed its a joke. No North Wales regional side does that not smackof direct discrimaination, just so the WRU can get more money into its own coffers and not setup a side in say Wrexham. We do have very tenious links with the Scarlets but be honest 1 game a year is down right arrogant on their behalf.
This is to be blamed on the WRU and the people running the clubs due to there greed oh and the National Assembly who could have intervened.
Also whatr this line you have you did not mind England winning the WC i never said a word about them winning it i said that so many people in Wales called the English glory hunters in 93 and in 95 they do the same.
Re being in Cardiff for the Ireland match how many of them will go and watch a game only yesterday the Osperys won the Celtic Leagu and just over 10,000 turn up. what i can not abide is people who only support a winning team that irretates me so much.
Millennium stadium holds 75,000 and yet on a weekend only a quarter of that will see a Union match on a league weekend do the maths that smacks of national glory hunters. these people mostly would have been watching the football team until they became poor again over the last year. If as you say Cardiff was full for the Ireland match where was this volume of support for the last decade or more. The same happened in Caernarfon hundreds out with there new glimin shirt on. Most had never seen a rugby ball nevermind seen a game. Some of them were my friends.
Also i said that almost all were plastic. If that has caused you any offence then im sorry but how can we as people potray ourselves as a nation when we are really so divided. Youd be suprised how many people in the North feel like this.
Full of part time supporters eh. Think you should have been in Cardiff last Saturday.
This proves my argument of supporting a winning team. How many people were watching Wales lose to Austria on Saturday in Cardiff and in the pubs national pride seems only to exsist if we win that is what is starting to rear its ugly head in Wales. We lambasted the English for the same. Where have your so called supporters turned up from. They are all ex football supporters now who will turn again if the rolls are reversed as quickl oa a Martin Offiah try. If we potray ourselves as a nation then we must support teams who win or lose not just as is happeniong now of when we win.
One thing i would like you to honestly answer is. Do you wear the Welsh shirt with the same pride when they lose. Im no part time supporter of Wigan and if we lose today ill still be in my shirt tomorrow and id still attend matches if we were in the bottom 2 of SL.
How many of the people you know can you say the same about if Wales lose would they still be wearing there shhirts or would they be back in the Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea strip. I can gurantee you my friends will all wear the football strip if Wales starts to struggle.
