I am convinced that an Ellery Hanley, another Martin Offiah, to be honest, several are living in the capital as yet oblivious to RL.

Has anyone any idea who the opposition is likely to be and how they feel about having to both travel and finance a trip to London? Can't imagine they will be thrilled about it (unless Wigan are footing the bill) and unless it is Leeds, Wire or Saints can't imagine how interesting the locals would find it.
Wonder if anyone has ever done any research on how many Londoners actually go to Wembley to watch the Challenge Cup final even?

Personally I don't like the idea but IL did say at the forum (in response to Josie I think)that sponsors may help with travel. I hope so.

Also it will have to be played on a Saturday for most fans to get there. If we did play down there I would prefer it to be against the likes of Wakey rather than lose one of our big home matches.

IL/Rads also said they had to fight the RFL to keep the Saints match on Good Friday as Sky wanted to televise it on the Thursday.

Last people considered in this are the fans. No wonder they had reduced season ticket and match day sales last year.

Now I'm not a season ticket holder and I must admit, at my age, that I pick the away games to go to. I know it's selfish to say this but i'd have to be pushed to drive to either of the Hull grounds so, for me, let's play either 'Hull away' fixture in London. It's not that much longer in travelling time, It's a new ground to visit and Season Ticket holders can get their full value at the DW.
What will it cost the Hull club to give up home advantage in that situation?. Nothing--- only annoyed season ticket holders, Which is where we are now, and the expected London support that's attracted won't give a monkeys as to which team are supposed to be at home.
Alphabetically, we'd be listed second anyway.

The way I'd probably try and do it would be to make it a double header with a game featuring a London side too as the curtain raiser - maybe the Broncos 4th home game of the middle 8 if they earned one. I think that might create a more feasible identity for the occasion and mean there would be four teams who could benefit from the exposure. Sky would probably like it if they could fit it around football in their scheduling because it means only laying out for setting up in one location but get two games to show.

The more I think about it Catalan would be the ideal "on the road game" in London, assuming we both make the top 8 and that's one of our home games. It's not a large attendance anyway when we play them at Wigan and could be marketed well down south.
