I agree with JJwilliams and 1000% Warrior we have to to get behind the squad and the Coach, the only problem is how many of the fans will get behind them. There are plenty who think the same way as W-N-A-C, and are already are calling for Millwards head. These seem to be the ones that Lindsay listens to, so how long has Millward got before Lindsay starts wielding the scalpel to cut him loose?

I went last night and froze on the terraces and I must admit if there were any positives they were well disguised. We can't blame the Ref he was fair, (for once). The same thing happend as in all our games so far, (even the Huddersfield game), decent first half just to fall away in the second. One of the boys stood next to me asked the question if Millward is still a Stain at heart, but used more colourful language that cannot be used on this site.

Millward has proved himself to be a good coach with Leigh and the Stains, and will not have become a bad coach overnight. But his historical record means nothing and the Wigan faithful expect more than we have been getting in the last 4 games! :conf:

Extremely disappointing result obviously, but aren't you getting a little bit carried away? Last season was an unmitigated disaster but we were never involved in a relegation dogfight as you posted!!
Just back from the airport? good job you weren't on the Titantic, you would have been saying 'Iceberg, what iceberg'

Robjoenz,
Glad to see you back but the big worry really has to be the fact that when we were dreadful last season everybody said it was because of our appalling injury list. This season we have played 4 matches with basically the same (and our top apart from Hock) 20 players and we have produced just one decent half of rugby against Huddersfield last week.
As the 2nd founder member of the Vaelaeki must go club what do you think of him this season,I've only seen the two matches on tv of course, he looks much slimmer and possibly quicker but for my money he is still not achieving anything.

...and you would have been throwing a hysterical wobbler. Just try to calm down a little bit.

I can only go off the score since I didn't get there but try to put things into perspective. For me, Hull had a worse night than us. As upset as we all are the season is hardly over, is it? Remember, this time last season people were calling for Brian Noble's head on a platter and they didn't end up doing too badly.

Jimmy i think your being altogether too kind.
These kinds of performances have never been acceptable at Wigan, not for the last 10-15 years anyway, and I dont think they should become accpetable despite our golden trio leaving and retiring over the last few years.
I am not a doom merchant by any means, but we shouldnt be getting beat by crap teams, and consitently getting beat by crap teams. A hiccup now and again is fine but this is bull.
I think Maurice, Millward and the players have all dropped the ball. I mean its getting annoying having to mention brown every week, but IM persists. It gets annoying mentioning crap half backs every week, but maurice doesnt change anything.
There is no spirit in the side, with the only real passionate Wiganer seeming to be O'Loughlin and our new powerful prop from NZ.
We need to get some fight back, we have talented players and a talented coach. Millaward needs to start getting the best out his players and making the right decisions, thats why he has a rep for being one of the best.
Everyone needs to get their sh** together basically and start showing why they payed cash money to play for Wigan. and DV is pi**ing me off the most because his waste of talent is gona cost me a dvd

Do you believe that this lot are better than the Wigan teams of 10-15 years ago? You think that 10-15 years ago the expectations were not higher at WRLC?

Me not understand :eh: :eh:

They ended their dodgy start to the season by beating Wigan at the JJB. Remember?

If you think our squad has it in them to go and do what Bradford did I think you are mistaken. I have seen it said several times "Look what Bradford did" but our squad isn't a patch on what theyhad last season. Or this.

Lets be a bit more positive folks, I know its very disheartening the way we're losing, but in my opinion the Catalan game and Salford last night Wigan looked like they expected to win, and in both games when they realised that wasnt the case, it was too late! 10 years ago Wigan could do that and win, these days, other superleague clubs are much stronger and fitter, and all have also recruited well! Once the team gell and IM gets his preferred players in the positions he wants, things WILL improve! We no longer have the right to win!

Bradford's dodgy start was mostly due to injuries...we don't really have that excuse. Yeah, we'll be be stronger with Fletcher & Hock back, but they won't be able to make that much difference.
On paper, or by reputation, it's a strong squad, except at #6, but too many of them are simply not performing to their ability. It's been said often enough that many of our players played better at their previous clubs (which, to be fair, is a pretty good reason to sign them)...so why aren't they performing to that standard here?
