He's disappointed me really, not because he's been THAT bad, but i expected a lot more.I mean if a team kicks through and this guy picks up the ball with some space in front of him, he SHOULD be doing some damage in my opinion, and he's not. He's a rangy athletic looking lad but as many have said before he doesn't seem to run his weight.

Hope i'm not being too critical, just my opinion

All arguments for and against are reasonable. Howvever the facts state that he is the first, and so far only, Wigan player into double figures in terms of tries so far this season. I think anything else is purely opinion.
Alternatively...

According to the Official Site Richards has scored 9 tries and Dallas has scored 7 tries. If, however, Richards has made 3 more missed tackles than Dallas which led directly to tries then Dallas would be our better wing option.

You said that anything other than his try scoring ability is just opinion. I don't think it is.

I can't quantify it as I don't have the stats but I would suggest Richards has been weaker in defence than Dallas.

Therefore it is opinion.....
Given the limited information I have available, yes. This season I would sooner have a winger that doesn't score any tries but has a perfect defence than a player that scores 20 tries and directly leaks 40 tries.

A couple of poor calls and misreading a bounce of a rugby ball could happen to any winger. On the basis of the whole season hes been ok so lay off lol.

TBG... richards has got better as the season has progressed but tonight i think he just didnt turn up. 2 tries are arguably his fault tonight... the obvious not-picking-up-the-ball act led to one try... and poor positioning/attempt at the ball led to the other. I dont know why he was poor tonight but hopefully he will watch recent videos and correct it in training.
