Without starting another debate here I already knew that Ashton could be a bit giddy, but I didn't know he could be cocky as well.

Don't tell me he is still doing his tommy rocker trick with the bouncers round Wigan? The "do you know who I am" routine!!!!!!

I thought he'd grown up from that!!!!

Mind you he is only at the tender age of 19 so he will learn to grow out of what we think are faults with his personality.

turf Ashton is a young lad he plays rugby for the biggest RL team in the world(not biased me)he may well get a bit big for his boots but he is just a kid ,its just one of them things he is just that way out he does not lack confidence just common sense thats why he gets so many threads and so many fans react to what he does on and off the field now don't take this the wrong way but you are a prime example.

But mrs carney, Millard could probably stand up to Fielden as he is (just about) tall enough.

We are making a point of it because Ashton doesn't even come up to Fielden's mid section does he?

Ashton is about 5 foot 7/8 and Fielden towers over him at around 6 foot 2/3, he should not be picking on a kid of 19 and around 5 foot 7 for no reason at all!!!!

Fielden must have had a valid reason to rollick Ashton, although non is springing to my mind.

I don't think Fielden likes things being written about him lucky 13!!!!!!!!!!

Mind you, it does depend on what exactly was written about him and of course where it was written.
Bloody hell Ashton gets bigger men than Fielden to tackle every week. So cut the crap re Fielden is so big and Ashton is a small kid.

Against Saints you (most) complained about lack of passion and moan no one showed it.

Someone shows it and then you moan again. What the hell do you want.

OH YES TO MOAN.

Perhaps for Ashton not having a go at Fielden for him mising the tackle that led up to the Salford try? Ashton maybe didn't do enough when it came to stopping the grounding, but Salford got the position from Fielden's inept tackling so Fielden should have been having a go at himself rather than anyone else.

I thought the incident was out-of-order, and whilst I've no time for the "he's bigger than him" nonsense, Fielden is an experienced player who needs to take a bit more responsibility for his own mistakes rather than trying to blame others. I expect better from a senior GB player and most expensive forward in the world. It's important for a player to show they care about the team conceeding a try, but it's rather hypocritical to shout at others to cover your own failings.

i saw the inncident with fielding/ashton and i disagree with what people are saying! id say they was both at fault for giving away that try!it was a poor effort and they should have wrapped coley up(think it was him who scored) but to claim that fielding was ready to hit ashton is to put it bluntly aload of bo^^ox!yeah they had an argument but thats what i wanna see they'd conceded a try and was obviously upset about it its about time they showed passion like that! after that i thought fielding was fired up and took the ball up really strong!
