If Castleford do get promoted (I do not think they will, Widnes seem better) then anybody hazard at a guess what it will be like when Cas play Wigan :o

If we did ever go back there, I couldn't see more than the usual chanting, these are simple folk after all! That and the usual projectile, thrown as we drive off in the coaches.

I think that we will get abuse at every away ground we go to MO has tarnished the club with a cheat label.

We have been accused of "Cheating" for many years. Even now, Stains fan's claim, the only reason we dominated in the mid-80's and beyond, was because everyone else were purely amateur, to Wigan's professional set-up. Nothing else comes into their "argument"

Banter is one thing and most of us are up for a bit of that, after all it is merely humour at the end of the day but as the week has gone on I have heard more and more stories of fans being subjected to foul mouthed abuse which would not qualify as banter in a thousand years. Maybe I notice it more because I am unfortunate enough to live on the outskirts of Warrington and the Warrington Guardian is my local paper, their so called sports reporters hates us almost as much as Cullen seems to and makes no bones about it in the outpourings of bile that come our way if ever Wigan are in town. This same guy admits to being a Man U fan and says he wouldn't watch Liverpool in the final earlier this yeat because he hates them as much as Wigan :D Apart from the fact I think he is abusing his position as a back street hack it doesn't seem to have occurred to him that Man U bought themselves the best money could buy and he doesn't seem to have a problem with that but in my book that is double standards.
Yesterday I heard a sad story of a group of 12 Wigan fans (Mixture of children and adults) who went to the game last Sunday and have torn their tickets up for tomorrow after the kids being so badly upset by being intimidated and told to eff off back to Wigan and other similar quaint little statements. Personally I think they should have used this experience to show the Warrington club what had happened by taking them back to their reception and asking for a refund and telling them why, as it is the powers that be at the Halliwell Jones are no wiser to what happened to these folks and think eveything is hunky dorey whereas I'm sure if they had been made aware of what happened they have no excuse for not telling their fans to cool it a bit. We don't expect them to be on our side but unless this great game is going to get like football the lid needs to be kept on otherwise it will all boil over and there really is no need for that, this is sport for God's sake not civil war.
