Yes Wigan were woeful and the penalty count did not help us one little bit .If we have to progress in SL i think the coaches should relate to this defeat and put matters right .
We are getting slated for offside and players not being square giving too many penalties this should be first priority and get it sorted even if we have to move another metre back. You cannot play Rugby without the ball and losing hard yards no use keep blaming the ref all the time if you didnt do it you would not get penalised .Its okay saying the opposition gets away with it WE are being penalised and steps should be taken to erradicate this on two occasions now we have had players sin binned .
Players need some sprint training they are much too slow no use just haveing upper body strength you only have to watch Leeds and Saints how they can make breaks from any where and score .
We have no set moves or if we have i have not seen any .One out rugby is no good we need to spread the ball about a bit as we did in the playoffs last season .
Our halfbacks dont play together ask the question why.
Tackling needs to be looked at as Saints today were breaking tackles at will .
If you were a company producing goods and the end product was shoddy you would take measures to prevent this Wigan Warriors are a company and the fans are being served shoddy goods its time this was addressed .
We have enough coaches with Brian Noble being the head coach its time they had a good look at the structure of the coaching and fitness one could be in charge of defense another could be in charge of sprinting another could be in charge of ball shills and moves etc its not rocket science and a short kick up the backside would give dividends.
Its alwright hiding behind the demise of the players not being good enough Saints today with a lightweight pack bossed us all over the park. We are stuck with the players that we have not all worlbeaters some not producing the goods but playing as a team doing the basics right on there day can beat anyone. Look at Cas the other week they did all the basics right and beat a tired Leeds outfit they played as a team and won.

There was an incident in the last quarter that made me sick and I often think the guy plays with passion. Micky Higham went to defend a blindside wherewe had defenders in numbers leaving a hole where the obvious place for him to be was. Saints ran through that gap. It was like he could not be bothered.

Disappointing all round.

The thing that worrys me is the constant penalty leaking. One game fair enough, but in the past three it's a constant theme. Three different refs, but the penalty count has been bang, bang, bang. So either we're persecutated or the refs have it right. And if it's the second, the coaches and player need to rectify the ruck, the playtheball area and the offside position quickly instead of maoning about it.

Saints were better than us but not 30-odd points better. In truth the penalty hammering in the first 15 mintues that led to the constant SH terratorial advantage and a 22-0 lead cost us. For the majority of the 2nd half the game difference was 14-10 to SH and that's about the fairness.

They missed Fozzard, Sculthorpe, blah and we missed Mathers, Richard, Prescott. Our team was much much better on paper and if our forwards had done their job our HB could have done theirs. It's galling to see how a depleted SH team can still dominate a better prospect.

My main worry is Paleasinna. In the past his storming penetration has offset his lack of stamina, but he's a defensive liability. He's not making the yards his did and when he's knackered teams just run at him.

Not happy.

we need some real go forward - our pack could break through against the wind never mind an opposing back.

We didn/t get dominated by an internation pack today - what the hell would fozzard, Cayless and Cunningham have done to us.

We need some bigger, tougher and size in the pack - simple as that . we are making 20-30 metres max on our sets - giving barrett no chance to create anything as he is kicking from will inside his own half.

I personnally think we need two props and a second row - as I have said on here before we don't need superstars or state or origin players just some go forward style people.

Watched the hull match earlier - is it David Mills - he would have done for me - big lump of a prop forward - get in two of him 0 they wouldn;t be expensive - front row of Fielden, feka and two big props.
Second row of Coley, Hock and Hansen/Bailey
Now there would be a pack to dominate and be feared.

It is too late to start talking about too much upper body strength, the need for sprint training and so on. The players have the physique that they have and we can't wait half a season while they change it. They need to improve and they could start by doing the basics right.

We were second bottom of the fai play index before this game but caned again with penalties and another sun binning. I expect we will be bottom now.

Why can't the coaching staff see being bottom of that particular league means you will get beat by teams like Saints missing their first choice front row?

Why are we seeing this every game?

utter and complete garbage today me and my misses stood and watched one of the worst displays we have ever seen against our deadly rivals and they played us off the park. They do not deserve the support that they get from the loyalist support in the world.
Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White

Lului and Barrett tackled like demons today, that is not what they were bought for.
Calderwood is the only speedster in the team who could finish off a break from your own half.
The coach is not earning his money, the forwards are not earning theirs, we were beaten by a better team who wanted to play for each other.
17 to 1 apparently, missed tackles in the first half, as Iv'e mentioned before, just what do they do in training all week, just look at videos and be told this is what you should have done?
Wigan is supposed to be the richest club with the best amateur teams surrounding it, why, oh why do St Helens cream off the best youngsters? I bet some of those youngsters playing today for SH would play for nothing, that used to be the case at Wigan. I would put the blame on the coach, as someone has previously mentioned, his body language leaves much to be desired, the captain's body language is similar, the team looks lost even from the kick off.
I thought last week was bad, this week new depths have been found.
:( :( :(

The "Loyal Supporters 18 Shirt" on my back is becoming a millstone these days, I put the effort in to turn up, why don't the players. The traveling fans and even those at the home matches can only take so much, the club as a whole should send out an apology as to what is being served up this season in the guise of effort!
