Brown has been a good centre cover, and even though hodgy is supposed to be able to play wing or centre i really dont think hes much good on the wing, hes had a lot of trouble and with the talk of gasnier and another one mentioned in the paper today, cant remember the name, it looks doubtful that hodgy will get a new contract now! AND WE HAVE ONLY 2 DAYS TO SNAP UP SCULLY N THE REST, unless they are keeping it quiet! Lindsay has lost the plot if he doesnt re-sign scully!

I think we've re signed/signed whoever we're keeping next season, the news never comes out before the deadline day though. There'd be no fun in that would there!!

We've struggled for specialist centres for ages. we really only have Aspinwall and Hodgson (and Gazza for the rest of this season)- all the others we've played there have been out of their best positions.
Wild - second row
Brown - stand off
O'Loughlin - loose forward (better than standoff IMHO)
If we don't get Gasnier, or a centre of similar quality, next season will be just the same.

I think that Hodgson is past it
Past it? He's probably only a few months older than Aspinwall. I thought when Wigan played well last night so did Hodgson, he's getting further with his runs and he looks more determined.

I agree Rob. He started off very young and clumsy but now he's looking a lot stronger and you can see he's trying. He has his faults but so did Danny Orr and look at his progress so far.
There's a lot left to come from Hodgy yet.

Very true - my point is that we need at least 3 specialist centres, at least one (preferably two) of which should be of international quality. Hodgson and Aspinwall are well down the GB "pecking order"
By contrast we have too many second rows, and while competition for places is always good, salary cap restraints make it unbalanced.
