We missed some key players but one not mentioned and IMO was badly missed is Coley.

How anybody can say a winger being outjumped for a kick is not at fault beggars belief. VERY SIMPLE - If Ainscough catches the kick. Play ends. Nobody at fault. As it was Ainscough is the first at fault and then Bailey is at fault. Yes Bailey was horrid tonight. So on that basis Madge got it wrong.

That should be Bailey's last game at centre. They ran round him twice for tries and he was at fault for the try you mention because Ainscough was clearly in two minds faced with a two on one situation. Where was Bailey? He simply wasn't close enough to outjump the Quins player and has bailey been there Ainscough could have marked the winger. I bet he thought he was back at Cas!

He must be wondering if he walked into the same team he has seen playing on TV because tonight I don't think he was given a clean pass all evening. He had to come looking for the ball and it was a throwback to watching wingers like Calderwood getting no service.

Walker was out of his depth. He may as well have not played. He did not know where to stand, what positions to take up. He was running around like a headless chicken which is useless. Does Liam Farrell look so clueless? No because he understands RL. Johnny is a novice and it shows.

I have got to say I like what I see with Farrell and his performance was the only positive of the night for me.

We missed Coley and Gleeson big time and while I am not a big TL fan I think we would have been better with him playing by quite a bit. Alas he looked to be limping when doing the half time draw so I don't think he is due back soon.

I disagree, I think it was the right decision at the time. We were only 6 points up, we'd been throwing the ball around trying to force things despite being in the lead and were panicking. We needed to calm down and start playing sensible again and taking the 2 was the right thing to do at the time.
Unfortunately the players seemed to lose the plot again straight away. I don't think we would have scored if we had taken the tap. I also don't think we'd have forced another set either. I think the most likely scenario is that we'd have coughed up possession through trying to force something and Quins would have gone on the counter attack.

I am always quite keen on taking the two but tonight for me that was the wrong time to do it. We were 5m out and had them on the rack. I bet they were really pleased to see us take the two.

Agree with DaveO. I groaned when we went for the 2. It told Quins we weren't sure of getting the 6 from 8 yards out!

For those who did not see it Quins were well worth all their points. The ripped us to shreds whereas we panicked and chucked the ball away several times when we got within striking range. We got the result we deserved.

Dave, the winger should catch a kick if it goes to his opposing winger otherwise he is at fault. Full Stop. You forgot to add we missed GOULDING.

Cheers cpwigan- I avoided criticising any post particularly as there was plenty I disgreed with over a number of posts, not just yours. However, if you care to forward me your r.l. cv I will pass it on to the club as you are obviously better than MM who must have thought Walker and Ainscough should get a chance tonight.

Not doubting Lockers' leadership, but his play from s/o left a lot to be desired.

Ainscough was outjumped for the first try, hardly surprising considering he is shorter than his opposite number and he struggles with the high ball.

Would it not have been better to blood Walker in a settled team, rather than stick him in the deep end in a patchwork team? For all I know, he may not make it at SL level, but to rip him on debut at SL level is a joke.

Show me a coach who has not made a mistake and I will show you a liar. Madge will get far more right than wrong BUT sorry he is not GOD and not fallable. Neither am I
