Re: How much?
It would be wrong to say that I object strongly to CPW's style, as just as with DaveO they know a huge amount and care deeply about our great club. I would say that it is possible to hold different opinions without being lesser/beneath contempt. The English language permits a range of tones. For instance I may have foollish notions, and by all means challenge those, but don't call me a fool.
I am optimistic by nature, and watch Wigan as an escape. My aim is to derive as much pleasure from doing so as I can, and so I treasure the good aspects and am inclined always to hope for the best. I have enough stresses in my job, and family life without needing to find others.
I suspect that there are seismic flaws in Wigan's structure and if we had enough exposure we would all be shocked. But then that's true of pretty much every organisation of people in the world. It's life's rich chequered tapestry.

Hey, don't come on her & say that I am giving ANYONE the"OK" to post what they want! It's nothing to do with mesmudgerii wrote:Very rarely post on here or the other RL site, but read it several times a day and felt it right to comment this time.cpwigan wrote:Those that know understand the information I post, sometimes do not post but am given is not my own but over several years it has been 99% of the time spot on. Just to give you an idea, some of that information is often known with Wigan RLFC but unknown to IL and the rest of management.Kaii wrote:It's always just his opinion, most people will just put IMO but cpwigan believes his opinion is true fact until it's proven wrong.
I will never post what I do not have the ok to post but the club is a horrible mess IMO and many realise that when far more 'true' fans like Josie are even annoyed with what they know is happening.
If others want to bury their heads in the sand then hey it is a free world :exc:
CP you spout some opinionated crap and rarely if ever back it up with facts or proof.
RL is in a mess not just Wigan RL, and just who does give you the "ok" before you post? Redhall? WRL? Josie?
Please, for once, back up your post with proof.
This is a bloody forum for people to express their opinions feelings. No one has to ask me for permission!!!!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: How much?
Back to the original question. If we got 250K for Hock then I'd say IL has done really rather well to cash in on a player that wanted to leave. ( BTW keotinthedarkfans is on of the posters *I* take notice of! )
The only caveat to that is the information that cp thinks IL doesn't know about. I think it's pretty impossible to blame him for that because if no one tells him how can he act? BTW although I don't know the info, I believe the alternative course of action that would not have received criticism would be to have released Wane and kept Hock.
250K seems a good return in the circumstances.

Re: How much?
Now my two penneth on the posters!
cp knows a lot of stuff that isn't in the public domain but perhaps hurts his cause by not coming across as particularly objective on occasion.
daveo I don't think has any particular insider knowledge, but formulates one hell of a logical argument from the available info and by god does he defend that position to the hilt!
keptinthedarkfans gets my attention when he posts. its invariably short, to the point and usually very interesting
josie is awesome. full stop
all great posters IMO and I hope no offence has been caused by my assessment. feel free to disassemble my character at will!

Re: How much?
Seriously you know more about what's going on than IL and the management, OK you are entitled to your opinion, but intellectual rubbish is still rubbish without factscpwigan wrote:

I was going to buy a book called "The Power of Positive Thinking", and then I thought: What good would that do?

Re: How much?
All I can say about CPW is that he has always posted 1st class information. How is he meant to provide proof without exposing his source. For.me the proof is that he is. Correct the majority of the time.
There seems to be a lot of posters on here lately that like to have a pop at what other people post and it's getting boreing. I posted that id seen Sam in London the other day and the first reply to it was sarcastic. We've all.got opinions good or bad and we should.be able to post them without being critsed.

Yes I saw your post about seeing Sam T and took it for what it was.A fan who saw one of his teams players and reported as such. Nothing wrong with that. It's just that some posters like to go over the top with replies.gillysmyhero wrote:All I can say about CPW is that he has always posted 1st class information. Correct Kooch, the reason I posted that I saw him was that I wonderd why he wasn't ttraining and if he was also seeing a specialist like Locker was the day before.KOOCH wrote:Yes I saw your post about seeing Sam T and took it for what it was.A fan who saw one of his teams players and reported as such. I've been told we got the full £250,000.cpwigan wrote:IL handled the Hock transfer horrendously. We got far far less than 250K and NO conditions.
