If you are 'pissed' you ability to do anything Rob is incredibly diminished. hence, Drinking & Driving 'pissed' is against the law. Still I daresay if you knocked a child over and injured/killed said child you would say so what, I paid my money, it is a free world etc etc.RobWigan wrote:Dont get rat arsed just pissed and i remember everything

For me being pissed is having a laugh and a good time, being rat arsed is the ability not to stand up and things like that hahhaKittwazzer wrote:I've been a boozer for over40 years and if there's a difference between the two, its passed me by!RobWigan wrote:Dont get rat arsed just pissed and i remember everything

we don't stop playing because we grow old ....... we grow old because we stop playing
Re: No Alcohol!!
When I was a lad the having a laugh stage was regarded as 'being merry' - everything beyond this was being drunk (by whatever terminology you choose to give it!)
It strikes me that some people seem to be 'selfish drunks' who put their own methods of enjoyment, by having to resort to being drink fuelled before the enjoyment of others around them - this spoiling others sober enjoyment of a sporting event.
Quite sad really ..... Especially those that spend a fair proportion of the matches in the toilet!
But each to their own - which is fine as long as it doesn't spoil mine, or others, enjoyment of an event we have paid to watch!
..... Anyway - back to the subject of the thread - I agree with the bank of alcohol at the seats - I was in the South Stand for the Leeds match and a fella walking up the stand with 2 pints in his hands must have spilt half of it on his way up with them, and another feller nearly broke his neck when walking down the steps and standing on an empty plastic glass! Safer for all away from the seats - ta!
