didnt SW rest 8 players last season vs Leigh? The week before the cup game....... we should go out to win every game and play the strongest possible teammorley pie eater wrote:So, according to this logic, we have to win every game apart from those against 3 other clubs, or the coach is useless?DaveO wrote:This is not a league of equals. There is no way that should have been anything other than a routine win. The fact HKR were the better team is a joke. They are not even close to being a top 4 team.
This is one of those daft losses that Wane said he wanted to eridicate. But no, Tommy is out so instead of a least starting with the reserve hooker he switches everything about.
I suspect there was an element of "after the Lord Mayor's show" following the superb performance against Wire. Possibly aided by distraction with Wane's resignation and a couple of changes.
As has been said, "Well played Rovers", now move on.
How many times did Shaun Edwards play the week before a Wembley final? Clear to me that the priority is next week, and that's fine so long as we win.Firestarter wrote:didnt SW rest 8 players last season vs Leigh? Who was rested?
If you look at the squad on the Superleague site, Forsyth was included on Thursday. I suspect that was in place of Sarginson and Gildart was a late withdrawal, but it could have been the other way round. Anyway, a bad day at the office, move on.
[ Gildart was in Salford Royal on a drip, on Wednesday I think it was, & would not have been fit to play last night ]
Gildart was in Salford Royal during the week on a drip! He wouldn’t have been fit to play no matter how big the game was!Firestarter wrote:Im sure tommy, gilly, lockers and sarge wudda been available if it was a big game no doubt imo
thats right but we gad a much stronger squad back in them daysendoman wrote:How many times did Shaun Edwards play the week before a Wembley final? To be fair to Powell he was 2nd top tackle maker with 42 tackles, but I do agree regarding Tommy Leuluai.cherry.pie wrote:Powell and Escare missed 13 tackles between them! The absence of Leuluai alone seems to have caused us problems. I didn't go to the game so someone who did can correct me, but on the radio Powell's name was mentioned a few times with regards to missed tackles and being bumped off and knocked around. And having seen Escare defend in the halves a few times so far this season 6 missed tackles doesn't surprise me. He makes Tim Smith look like an accomplished defender. No straw damn us wrote:I think 35 missed tackles tells the story.
