Fair thread, the timing seems due to the new transfer rule (there are a few rumours related to other teams players starting to leak out). Agree on Byrne, wish him all the best with any off days against us .

The new rule means a few uncomfortable final seasons I fear.

I hope a new club and the inspirational (?) Sam Burgess can get the best out of him. As said earlier he carried the club in 2023, perhaps it took too much out of him. Any road up, there's a top class prop in there somewhere. If he appears while he's at Wire, it'll bite us in the backside but I hope it does, he seems a good, humble, hard-working lad. He deserves some (more) success.

This would not surprise me he went from playing every week to being backup if injuries he's just seemed to be in cruise mode in the last two seasons
