I'm afraid it is moot, mate, as you've introduced a straw man argument. I never claimed that penalties weren't provoked.archiekeith wrote: βThu Apr 24, 2025 11:56 am No it's not flash. I'm referring to your "moot" conclusion. The topic under discussion concerns " penalties " The Referee's decision was provoked by the infringement of the rules of the game. Silmple! Anyway I've spouted enough and to be honest with you the only static ( the final score is the only one that interests me.We have a good team and coaches so I'm going to finish my not very moot (I hope) assertion

Cheers!
It had to be spoken about at some point. Peet sounds like he's chosen his words very carefully because he clearly thinks this has been an issue throughout his tenure and not just this season.
do you reckon the journo's look on the forums, and seen what we've been discussingNICKYKISS wrote: βThu Apr 24, 2025 8:32 pmIt had to be spoken about at some point. I've got the monk in this season in terms of what we've received and last season it was about us losing penalty counts. In the weekly rounds I think we lost about 20 of the counts last year. In fairness I've not looked at that this season but we've probably lost them all.
Of course they do. Seen many reports in newspapers re Forum sites some near enough word for wordthe pieman wrote: βFri Apr 25, 2025 8:35 amdo you reckon the journo's look on the forums, and seen what we've been discussingNICKYKISS wrote: βThu Apr 24, 2025 8:32 pmIt had to be spoken about at some point. Possibly, you'd probably be daft not to as a journo. I think I read with this one that Peet himself commented that we'd had no six agains on Good Friday and they've then had a look at our record on the back of it. They're lucky in some ways the refs that there is such a lack of stats to look at because in football you can see anything and everything. Some players would also be in the same boat in terms of what they receive because you'd imagine some at the top of that sort of list may be doing a bit of play acting.the pieman wrote: βFri Apr 25, 2025 8:35 amdo you reckon the journo's look on the forums, and seen what we've been discussingNICKYKISS wrote: βThu Apr 24, 2025 8:32 pmIt had to be spoken about at some point. Its a strange one morley and i get your point. My mother rang me at half time absolutely fuming at how every time wigan score its video ref and never when its the opposition. The six again is a different baby as its not how many are given but when its given. Not a fan of the six again tbh as its flawed and is encouraging defences to purposely give six again on the first two tackles.I know its not loved in the nrl alsomorley pie eater wrote: βSun Apr 27, 2025 4:40 pm Watching today's game v Hull. Now I'm not a ref watcher (or hater), and I don't often comment on referees, but after the recent discussion and stats, I notice that we're on the wrong side of the penalty count yet again.
I wonder if the fact that so many "top" refs are from Wigan makes them subconsciously less likely to award us penalties?
