I would be all in favour of dropping him and I don't care who replaces him. He cannot be as bad a player as he looks playing for ue. He came with a big reputation and they do not give those easily down under so why is he not performing?
Maybe its the thought that he knows no matter how badly he goes he will still be playing next week so why bother? Some pleyers are like that. Maybe the public humiliation of being dropped might snap him out of it and get him to give us some effort and prove how good he was supposed to be.
He seemed a good signing.
He has proved to be a flop - so far (fingers crossed for a change in performance).

I would go as far as saying that D.V. or diarrhoea and vomiting as he should be known is one of the worst centres ever to play for Wigan. The man is a complete joke! What's so frustrating is that he looks the part, yet has no power whatsoever, no skill, no defence and certainly no speed. When he tried to chase back yesterday he looked like he was having some kind of fit! To make matters worse he is on one of the biggest, if not the biggest contract at the club! Let's be fair, he has had is chance now and has proved that he is useless! Get rid of this muppet!

I must admit DV has been one of the biggest disappointments I have witnessed in a Wigan shirt; especially considering what his parramatta team mate has done at stains.

He seems to jog everywhere - even when chasing Lala yesterday it looked that if he had made a committed dive he could of caught him - instead of letting Calderwood run around him and make the tackle.

In the second half he seemed a lot more interested and that is the first time that I can remember seeing him make more than 4 tackles in a half.

The try at the end was better than some on here have given him credit for. With us in front I think that no-one would have been surprised if he hadn't bothered chasing - and he did fight off a couple of tacklers to score.

At the end of the season I expect to see him quietly leave and hopefully be quickly eclipsed by Gleeson who will hopefully be given his chance.

All I hope is that in the mean time he puts in more of an effort like he did in the 2nd half yesterday. That may not be anywhere near the committment that some of the team put in - but it would be a lot more than normal!

I could not understand why Calderwood had been so quiet this season until I saw Richards bursting out of the fog at Odsal and playing left centre to Dallas again yesterday, if Vaealiki is playing as Calderwoods centre that explains a lot, the lad must be too knackered from all the tackling he has to do!
Vaealiki seems to have lost all the excess weight he was carrying last season but without getting any faster, a difficult trick but one he has managed successfully.
All I can say is come back Vaealikis Girl and take him away but she seems to have decided it is best not to have anything to do with him either, how the Parrammatta coaching staff must be laughing at the fast one they pulled over Wigans eyes

For those that are defending Vaealiki and saying he is improving just watch him when the ball is both near and far away from him.

Watch his lack of urgency to get back in the line after we've completed a tackle (both when a tackler or out wide), watch him looking dazed and confused as he debates where to stand.

He just appears clueless, for the size of him he should atleast use his size as his strength but he can't accelerate when given the ball so is useless at breaking the line. If you look closely at his tackling if he's the first man in he sticks out an arm and the second man will complete the tackle, it's quite rare that Vaealiki will instigate and complete a tackle, just have a look at Wakefield this week.

Just you wait and see now, he'll have a blinder on Friday now (fingers crossed).

PS. El Rifle, get saving for my season review :D

Haha. To be honest I was a bit disappointed with Aspinwall last season, he didn't live up to his early promise but atleast he tried. He sounds to be doing ok for Huddersfield now too, perhaps it was the new start he needed?! It's the same with Hodgeson, dodgy-hodgy as some people called him, he one bad season after we rushed him back (for a cup final) after a ruptures achilles and now he's scoring points for fun at Salford. We've got Donkey Vaealiki instead!

Didn't DV have the same injury as Hodgson? Maybe it takes a full season (or more) before this sort of injury clears up. IMO Hodgson would walk into our 17 now. How long has DV left on his contract? We may cut him loose just as he gets back to where he was, form wise. :(
