Baily is a centre who can play 2nd row. If Wigan stood all the 2nd row fowards on top of one another they would reach the moon

Ignoring the fact we may not be in SL next season, I think that's our overseas quota full now. Baily and Barrett replace Dallas and Moran on the quota, with presumably Fletcher staying on as the third quota player.
Thought Dallas didnt count as "overseas" since last year - could even play for GB?

It has got to demotivate the current players in the new players position and it does nothing to address the main concern of the fans, staying uyp this season.
If I was a player at Wigan I have got to say that I would see things a little differently (though fair enough it doesn't reassure the fans much)

If you are a player retiring ie Dallas, then surely you wouldn't want to finish your career on a low of being relegated. As you won't be playing next year it is unlikely to affect you performance this year.

If you are a young ambitious player (or someone like Calderwood or Richards) then the thought of the chance playing alongside someone like Barrett must surely spur you on - if we do survive the next years team could be worth watching.

If you are a negative player that is probably going to be got rid of at the end of the season then I don't really see how this would change your attitude. If you play like you couldn't care less and don't put any effort in then it is unlikely that other clubs will be queueing up to sign you.

At least the signing of Bailey means that are quota is full and that Moran will definitely not be staying! That in itself is a cause for celebration!
