Pat Richards made some howlers tonight. He also let the ball go dead fromt the kick-off after shouting to Orr to leave it (which he then also did... )

But hopefully, that's his worse game of the season, and he'll put that behind him.

[/quote]question? where was superkris during all of this he was supposed to be richards center yet was no where for cover

I think its abit harsh to criticise Radders tonight, not played centre for years, and not 3/4 fit, but its still a fair point that Richards probably felt isolated out there.

Rads hasnt played there for 6 years since the 2000 grand final and stood up well defensively considering one he is playing for free and two he has been out for so long.

There's no getting out of that one mate. Richards was 100% to blame. The winger and fullbacks go back and are responsible for defending the kick. I am guessing from his reaction that he wasn't expecting to be challenged for the ball and thought it would just land in his hands. Unfortunately for him, his awareness wasn't upto scratch.

He was 100% to blame for not gathering the ball when he allowed to bobble into the in-goal area in the first half.

He and Orr were responsible for allowing the ball to go dead in goal from the kick off, definately some form of break down in communication there.

For his size he doesn't run the ball out nearly hard enough or strong enough. He is similar to David Vaealiki in the manner in which he runs the ball.

Tonight he had a terrible game, this season he has been mediocre at best. It was a sign of bad things to come when he was questioning whether he'd made the right decision when Tigers won the NRL title.

Well considering his bravery playing through injury in that Grand final he was exceptional with the hand off and finish, he was great going forward and maybe hasnt translated that to the Wigan side, but done more than Calders and he was SL's top scorer with Leeds so give credit where its due Rob, im not Vaelikis biggest fan, but richards at least has scored some and instrumental in out away win at Huddersfield earlier in the season.

100% Richard's fault. Orr was going to go for it, and Richards shouted for him to leave it. So he did. As did Richards....:conf:

I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion confidently considering no-one was in the North Stand and only those two player know what communication there was, if any, between the two of them.

yes but he thought it was his and as you know a rugby ball can bounce anywhere if it lands awkwardly and i deem that unlucky and can happen to the most accomplished/experienced pro.
