Dave and Matthew. You both are in agreement here but who is your criticism aimed at in particular? Coach? Board? Who? :doz:
Matthews reply to the above sums it up pretty well so I won't repeat it ad just say I agree with he said.

we dont know yet if the squad is complete ,we may lose a back yet and gain a prop thus makeing the wither's signing more plausable , godwin may have also gone because he will be first choice at hull after next season, still think nobby's got a trick up his sleave and he know's player's atitudes in training , just trust him ,we don't give coaches a chance look were it's got us

cannot believe withers will get the full back spot ahead of ashton, and surely millard is only cover for higham, neither of them are match winners so how are they going to improve the squad?not going to come off the bench and turn a game i wouldn't have thought, panic buying again i think, would saints ,leeds or hull give them a contract? don't think so

The knockers are out in full i beleive that the squad is a blend of youth and experience and time will tell ,We have not kicked a ball yet and some are slagging the squad put your trust in Nobby .

Not quite sure about the negative postings re these players.

1. Withers looked excellent to me at the end of last season. Takes the high ball as well as anyone in the SL. Solid defender. A little slow maybe but how fast is wellens? 7/10.
2. Millard is always very professional. Nothing spectacular but very solid. Wont be pushed around by anyone. 6/10
3. lulu potentially the best scrum half in super league for years to come. Devasting near the line. Injury suspect 8/10

A good solid prop would finish the team of quite well. Overall I am quite happy 8/10.
A good post buddyboy.

I was surprised by Withers pace v Hull at the KC towards the end of last season.....still quick also 'between the ears'.

Millard - an impact hooker in the mould of R'Turry & KFC.

Lulu - let's hope that he can twist (in the tackle!) & shout when he scores

In relation to Ashton..............don't write-off the RFU :exc: :exc: :doz:

of course anyone who pulls on a cherry & white shirt will always get 100% support, but cannot understand why we get shut of two younger players for two 30+ players? i just wish the club would come out and give us the reasoning eg salary cap or couldn't match pay demands whatever the case my be.just keep us informed, most people i have spoken to say millard & withers are not wigan players and the only thing they can add is guideance to some of the younger players, but hope they have a storming season and prove alot of people wrong.

I am sick of lies and about turns. I like others here was around during an age when ML used to sell players once they reached 30 saying they were too old and needed to be moved on to let youngsters develop. Whether I or anybody else agrees that was ML then and now he does an about turn.
Very true. I remember that well. :conf:

it now seems it's a case of balancing the books, instead of building the team you want, you have to build a team you can accomadate under the salary cap,you can have all the money in the world but cannot spend it.
