i would blame a lack of preperation for tonight

phelps got injured and ive not got a clue how we changed, we ended up with goulding at full back, bailey and carmont in the centres.

we seem reliant on playing 4 second rowers , we all know 4 into 3 do not go

the backs do not seem to be reading tim smith at all, the times they do we score! 2 fantastic kicks and 2 fantastic trys.

then we need to look at who will lead the forwards, riddell is obviously not fit, we are definately missing an andy farrell/ bryan fletcher character in the pack. it makes sense next week and i would go with

1. richards
2. roberts
3. goulding
4. carmont
5. ainscough
6. sam tomkins
7. smith
8. fielden
9. leuluai
10. ocarroll
11. tomkins
12. bailey
13. oloughlin

14. feka
15. hock
16. mcillorum
17. prescott

It will not happen BUT

I watched every game Phelps played for Canterbury last season. He only played because that club was have a disasterous season, lots of injuris, players leaving and in 2 games I saw him destroyed. Now if you are responsible for recruiting, surely questions must be asked because anybody seeing those 2 games would not have gone near him.

Afterwards, Head Coach Brian Noble said,
"We were still in the game and still arm wrestling"

Maybe he should coach them to play footy instead

I have read these posts with interest for about 3 seasons. They often make interesting lunchtime reading. However, I am compelled to register and make my feelings known here(even at 4.45am). Within just 2 minutes of the end of tonight's game we have someone questioning, "who is to blame".

Clearly Ancientnloyal hasn't been to the game.

Fine! Someone is genuinely interested in other people's opinion.

Within 10 minutes Mackie1981 is on to say that it's all Brian Noble's fault. Hmmm, not sure that you've made it back from Hull in 10 minutes Mackie.

At exactly 21.47, the prolific MrDave is on the forum to denigrate Brian Noble - another superspeed record back from Humberside.

3 minutes later, we have JJ at 21.51 asserting that Mr Noble is to blame.

And returning back from the KC at 22.07 is the omnipresent CPWigan reassuring us with his never-ending pessimism that the ones to blame tonight are Ian Lenagan and Brian Noble.

Slimshady chips in just a minute later at 22.08 to top it all off.

Clearly fans are frustrated. Clearly fans are bemused. But seriously, we want the best for this team, do you?

There is absolutely no way you lot saw the game tonight. Unless of course, you were using the wireless technology on Fraser Eagle coaches - i'm sure at least one of you will claim this!

My point is - I enjoy reading your rambles and outbursts, as do many others I suspect, but come on...surely if you want to comment on "who is to blame".......go to the bloody games.

you do not need to go to every game to see the issues at the club, They have been the same issues for a while now.

noble is to blame, I have to admit that for the first time in 5 years i havent bought a season ticket this year.

Two reasone for this are work commitments and also i just couldnt see noble making any difference this year. BUt what realy annoys me about the fella is after every home game Phil vievers comes doen in to the bar to front up the fans to either appologise or congratulate the team. Why oh why cant noble front up to the fans, he sends his understudy down to face the music and take the flack.

I think its time once again that the club looks for a suitable coach to try and fix the problems on the pitch, the team clearly doesnt have any direction or leadership both on the park and off the park.

wish list

new coach - with a game plan
new captain - with a big set of balls to lead from the front

Lenegan is to blame for our mess , he is the one who can sack Noble but he won`t .
Nobles lost the players and the dressing room , he has no gameplan, when did we see a try scored from a scrum or any attacking move . We`re boring to watch , I agree with the comment re season ticket sales , because if i had to pay on a game by game basis , I currently wouldn`t pay to watch Wigan play .
