I wouldn't argue with either of those, although I thought Tomkins shaded it with his all-round play. His kicking game, both long and short, was far better than Tommy's.

Getting back to Fielden, though; that rest (for the Barrow game) didn't seem to help him much. Could we not have loaned him to Barrow instead of Mossop?

Yes he made a couple of mistakes but you need to look at the bigger picture, if we had a scrum half who was above average we would have won this game. It baffles me how Leuluai got "mom" Lockers bogged it by a country mile!! What did TL offer in attack during this game, nothing. He had one decent break when he should have passed the ball and didnt and put 2 awful kicks in that lead to 2 tries. Until Wigan get a decent scum half we are bolloxed. It doesnt matter if we have a good go forward if we have nobody to guide them around the pitch!! Believe me TL is shite!!!!!!!

Not a great believer in wingers getting MOM when they just finish off moves to score. I do not think Ainsy created anything off his own back or did anything spectacular tonight. That is not criticising him. On general play Roberts (A big hit, a timely intercept and a couple of silky runs) and certainly Phelps (and I am no fan) had better games. I think Riddel made a ricket in the first 40 when he made that good run. He had a chance to find Ainsy IMO.

Tommy. Well I have watched the first 40 again and it was our best kicking game of the season long and short. We were on top in the first half and that makes kicking easier. We were also able to kick early before the last tackle. However, in that first 40 you could see Tommy looking and picking space to kick into. He made some good touch finders too (as did Phelps) Tommy caused Saints plenty of problems too. Far more than Burrow did. The two areas Potter has really improved Saints on is kick pressure and getting the back 3 to work as a team positioning wise to field/return kicks.

I would not argue with Lockers as MOM. He pulled off a huge hit again but his running was better than it has been all season. Hock too was the best second rower on the pitch. Shame he picked up that early knock. Feka really stood up tonight. Lengthy spells. Some good hits in defence too. I was very impressed how we as a pack sickened Graham and as a team handled Puletua.

Lockers, Hock, Feka, Tommy and Phelps were my top 5

More or less sums it up KCwon them the game tonight we had them on the ropes but they kept hitting us with sucker punches. I do think slim as a point though with a quality playmaker in any position for us tonight we would have won.

my faith in human nature has been rewarded, it is nice to see the knockers get to the keyboards before anyone else, what is out the ground, run like hell for home to get the 1st winge posted, or just stay at home,
What I would suggest is that we have a competition for who can get the fastest winge on the forum, ant suggestion on a prize

We certainly lacked a cool customer, a wise head. Even a pre rehearsed set to get us points. There was a game or two back when we had everything buit the attack to covert pressure/possession/field position into points.

Saints defended very well but that first 40 was our golden chance because they made some uncharacteristic errors with ball in hand in their own half. They reduced their errors and KC / Pryce got stronger in the second half. I though KC dug deep in the last 20 of the first half too. He's a vgood defender.
