I think the committee can do whatever they want to be honest.

I thought the Lima tackle was a bad one and very dangerous and it is not the sort of tackle that I like to see. If a tackle like that was made on say Sean O'Loughlin and he broke his leg or badly damaged his ligaments then everyone on here would be in uproar, I fail to see why it should be any different just becasue it is one of our players. It is dangerous and shouldnt be tolerated.

Watched the tackle numerous times on Sky. The foot was clearly 6" off the groung when he struck. The player was attempting to step and push forward. He pushed the leg back. The player was the other side of a wigan player so the dangerous contact could not have been made. The Leeds players milked it for all they are worth. They succeeded. No case to answer or you might as well change the rules to tag rugby. Same is creeping in on head shots. Players are pushing down so the forearm touches the head and turn the head to the ref screaming look. joel can get on report for a near miss but the squeaky clean boys can take sammy's head off and the ref asks if they hurt their arm. Come on Dobby mate, argue for the tackle being a bad one by all means but to suggest those who don't are being blinkered is a bit unfair. A lot of us are more than willing to say when one of our players has been an idiot and deserves a ban and Lima's hardly flavour of the month. Its just as likely to have been used by fans as an extra piece of rope to hang him with!
If the tackle had been done on Sean O'Loughlin it wouldn't have been discussed on here unless Sean had been injured, in which case it would have been a different tackle because unless the Leeds player had landed awkwardly the tackle Lima made wouldn't, and didn't, injure anyone. What Lima did is exactly what Feka did all last season as 3rd man in. Get the tackle on Sky+, slow it down and look where the first point of impact was, the position of the leg, how quickly he went past the knees, and where Lima ended up in such a short period of time. If you still think its dangerous at least acknowledge we don't all want dirty players going out of their way to injure the opposition.

In real time, it appears bad because of the time that seems to elapse between Clarkson's momentum being slowed by being tackled and Lima's tackle happening. It does not look 'good' in that sense - like cause a standing leg to buckle.
The reality is that with slow motion it's a bad tackle but neither malicious nor not that dissimilar to many others in numerous games.
I think he will get a ban based on tv evidence rather than those judging actually taking into account the bigger picture of Clarkson not being stationery at the moment of impact.
The more worrying aspect of this is that it will be Lima's second time in front of the RFL in a very short time and with the hysteria being built by the Sky commentary team around him, he'll be a marked man. If he's banned as I think he will be I honestly think that cumulatively he'll miss about more than a quarter of our games this season as he'll be the one refs cite week on week.
As a seasoned performer, he's taking longer to be of value or make a positve impact than I thought he would. Quite disappointing but he's not the first nor will he be last overseas player to fail to fire early in their career. Not all make it - it is a risk when moving from one way of life and palying to another - here's hoping.

Perhaps Sky should Morley kicking as he does on regular occasions. They showed one on Friday night & glossed over it without comment. I wonder why?

I didnt mean to imply that I thought that everyone on here wanted our players to go out of their way to injure the opposition as I dont think it is the case. I simply meant that sometimes peoples views are clouded by their support of the team in question and if it happened to one of our players then they would react differently.
I also have no complaints about a third man going in to finish off the tackle. However I certainly cant remember Feka going in so low and attacking the knee and it is that dangerous act, when a player is largely defenceless, that I have a problem with. By the way I am not using this as a tool to attack Lima, as I would have him before Feka any time, however he does need to smarten up his act as he has already got a reputation and he is going to see a lot more yellow cards and bans if he continues.

In this mornings RLE John Kear is really OTT calling for
"Wigan's tackling techniques to be outlaw'd and Lima to be
banned for at least 10 matches iirc
