It's great for a small independent local radio station. Well done

Budget wise that national radio award achievement for "Gerr'um On Side" is like Hemel Stags managing to become runners up to Wigan in a Challenge Cup Final. An immense effort considering the mammoth and national BBC "Five Live Sport" was in bronze place behind our little station. Just a shame we couldn't continue that show!

I think they were finding it difficult to run the show with a budget of zero. The show started with employees within the Orrell studios doing it as an add on to their normal work. But three of the four presenters from last year had moved onto pastures new during the back end of last year, so it was reluctantly decided to do live pre match instead.

It is a shame though that it's ended. I did two of the shows as a sub co-presenter last year and it was fun. But the budget made it difficult. Their is hardly any money in local radio anymore, which is why I'm happy to volunteer to co-commentate without any payment.

You could always all listen to our show instead

As long as you enjoy it then that is what matters.

Just read in the paper that Lee Radford has told his wife not to attend any more matches after she was verbally abused by fans as she was leaving the stadium with their child!

It is Josie, and their choice of target exemplifies their cowardice, lets face it they're unlikely to go toe to toe with Lee Radford. Didn't we have something similar not long back when someone gave our kit man grief?
