I would keep Walters in the team from the bench, then as and when required we could move him to SR then bring a prop on in his place and he can spell Faz, gradually getting him ready to take over if that is the long term plan.

Just check his stats week in week out. He’s not going to be as good as he was in his mid twenties but he is still good enough.
You're absolutely right, Chariots.

At some point last season, I began to wonder if Faz was fading. I started to notice him more after that, and soon realised that he contributes massively. Add to that the fact that we have relatively young kids in the squad, and the influence and example that he gives them, on and off the pitch, and he's good for this season and next, I reckon.
:)
2 tries to Faz?

He just said its like a broken record, and making dumb plays (Burgess stripping the ball on the 1st tackle of 2nd half) was trying to cheat themselves into the game. Seemed a very honest interview and only blamed his teams dumbness for the defeat. No complaining about anything other than his own team, and that they need to sort it out and quickly, giving away soft penalties / repeat sets
True but he didn’t give Wigan any credit. Faz was dumb in the first half and it led to a try. These things happen but if you are good enough you can overcome a setback from stupid play and Hudds were not. He mentioned to 40:20’s but not really acknowledging it was great play. It wasn't Hudds fault they conceded a try from one but was down to Wigan’s good play.

I get it he’s frustrated his team have been leading at half time in games but have lost but it can’t all be down to his own teams failings. The opposition must have done something good. When Wigan lose Peet always gives the opposition credit. Robinson’s comments came across as a bit mealy mouthed to me.

I think Vaughan is in the long-term plan to replace Faz.

Who is Vaughan?
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I wish I'd had Vegas flu but more the homegrown variety.
Thought Sunday's display was sluggish in the first half with one or two usually good performers a bit 'off.' Forber (for the first time in ages) didn't play that well and Eckersley's defence still needs tightening up. I thought Faz was extremely unlucky. It was one on one; the ball-carrying arm didn't touch the ground and the tackle was never complete. I didn't hear Moore (who generally had a much better game) call 'held' so the penalty was more than a bit unfair.
Useful to have Kendall as Video ref and our second half performance will have other teams a bit worried.
As for Luke Robinson, he seemed very down and I thought his team had played really well until (like a lot of teams) they just ran out of steam. I hope Huddersfield stick with him and he comes good.
Onwards to the farther reaches of the red button and if BBC don't want to show the game - give it someone else who does!

I think forber needs to start the odd game.It can only benefit him in the long run.Not that leeming is doing anything wrong as hes been my player of the season

we're going to have a dilemma when O'Neill is back fit as Forber unlikely to get any game time then

Leeming offers something different to O'Neill from 9, and is probably more dynamic going forward, and some of the tries he created last season with the little grubber kicks would unlikely to have been scored with O'Neill on the pitch (not knocking him with that comment), so some big decisions for Matty Peet when he is back and fit, and how he keeps 3 hookers happy

That's correct. He is currently playing centre for Saints reserves, Sambou (a winger) is the other lad. They should both play in the reserves this weekend at Wigan.
