I can't say I disagree with any of the pens given against Wigan, though.

Certainly got a few "6agains" today. Think the ref reverted back to the old 4 second rule of, after he's called held, if the player with the ball isn't able to play the ball, then he pulls the defending team.

Too often you can hear the ref telling someone to be quicker off the tackle, but doesn't do anything at the time.

I heard him warn borough at least 3 times today

I wonder if the fact that so many "top" refs are from Wigan makes them subconsciously less likely to award us penalties?
Got a few 6-agains though! Not sure what the final count was.

Yeah, and he did give away a couple of pens after that too.

I'm in favour of the ref managing the game before resorting to the whistle. Do you want to go back the days of every set of 6 ending in a penalty or a knock-on? It was really, really boring and the game was losing popularity as a result. Let the game flow as much as possible I reckon.

I really haven't had too much problem with the very low penalty counts in wigan games. It makes them much more intense and interesting, and feel more like the playoffs. It is odd that this is (or maybe was) only going on in Wigan matches though.

As someone who hasn't got Sky, I much preferred the old BBC set-up with the Superleague Show, imperfect as it was. The Sky Sports+ coverage could hardly be cheaper and nastier.

SuperLeague+ is amazing IMO. All the games in full (and live for me). I can finally watch every Wigan game and maybe another couple each week. It's great. And the commentary is much more varied too, so no more Eddie and stevo getting on my nerves every week. Different foibles each time!
