I thought DV had two more years but some say he's out of contract at the end of this season. I thought Hodgy showed more promise in his final season with us than DV has shown all last season and the beginning of this. Maybe it is his injury that is haunting him, however, there's no room for kind sentiments unfortunately.jinkin jimmy posted:
Didn't DV have the same injury as Hodgson? Maybe it takes a full season (or more) before this sort of injury clears up. IMO Hodgson would walk into our 17 now. How long has DV left on his contract? We may cut him loose just as he gets back to where he was, form wise.![]()

Until I saw DV, I saw the thinking behind letting go of Hodgy, as he seemed to lack bottle. He would be a big improvement on what we have now.
I am hoping that Milward's plan is to give Gleeson and goulding a fair amount of game time once the weather improves. I would much rather see them there than DV.
I hoep to god that this is DV's last season. Someone told me we were paying him more than the Evil Enemy are paying Lyon - I hope against hope that's not true!!!

Save them please, keep them as water carriers they're our best water carriers, anything just don't ruin their careers before they've even started. Putting that amount of responsibility on them is unfair. Ease them in but don't give them a space infront of someone who is statistically a good player. They're not that desperate to get on the first team you know.

I think the Telegraph summed it up.
"Obst exposed Vaealiki's defensive deficiencies to restore Wakefield's lead "

I think Dorris would be more effective on the field than Vaeliki, god knows why he bought him in the first place.FROM A TO B posted:

Re: vaealiki
firstly i think that brown should have attacked the ball from the kick of (i have been taught since i was a little nipper to always attack a ball than rely on a kind bounce) but it was a mistake alot of players would have made and it wasnt really brown's fault.
2ndly i think that millward should leave brown in the side as stand off, orr has had a huge chance and been there a while now and still hasnt taken the opportunity to be a huge star, so why not give brown the same chance? unless he would prefer to put higham/godwin at standoff so we have got abit more speed and skill in the half back area, coz both higham and godwin have got great pace from standing and we would most likely benefit from them both being on the pitch at the same time.

Nope, i'd still happily take him off your hands. Just decided you all probably don't want to hear me say the same things over and over. I've said my bit about Dave before so now i'll leave it at thatian.birchall posted:
All I can say is come back Vaealikis Girl and take him away but she seems to have decided it is best not to have anything to do with him either, how the Parrammatta coaching staff must be laughing at the fast one they pulled over Wigans eyes![]()

And i'm not sure about Parra laughing. With both our centres out injured, as well as injuries to a number of players who would've taken their places, i think they're probably kicking themselves that they let him go.
We'll miss you Freshy!!! Please come back!

Re: vaealiki
Not sure what type of injury Hodgson had but Vaealiki snapped his Achilles tendon. Is one of the hardest injuries to come back from, most players who sustain that sort of injury are forced to retire.jinkin jimmy posted:
