From what you could see from the big screen and watching it live Orr moved out of the way and Richards looked suprised about it. I'm not sure why Orr moved as he looked in the better position, maybe Richards shouted, who knows?!

Doesnt matter what the calls where, the fact it was a horrible bounce in front of him and it then carried on over the dead ball line. Now if that isn't a cruel bounce i dunno what is?

100% Richard's fault. Orr was going to go for it, and Richards shouted for him to leave it. So he did. As did Richards....:conf:
I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion confidently considering no-one was in the North Stand and only those two player know what communication there was, if any, between the two of them.
I live hundreds of miles away, and couldn't make it tonight. Saw it on telly. Very, very clear.

even if you deem it bad communication was a very unlucky bounce and could happen to the highest paid player to the lowliest amateur, just the way a rugby ball goes. Your being a bit harsh no matter how many miles away you are.

Like I said, it was a mistake. He didn't need to let it bounce at all, and was slow in getting to it.

BUT, he's been one of the better players for us this season. I think he'll put this game behind him and show us how he can play from now on.

Quite right and that is why Orr should have caught it on the full. He was the one in the position to catch it on the ful, not Richards.

If Richards called for it Orr should have ignored him and caught it on the full.

It isn't about the bounce of the ball being wrong but the fact Orr let it bounce in front of him.

Other than that Orr had a top game tonight and Richards was responsible for the second Les Cats try. Now that was pathetic play on his part but I really don't think he can be blamed for the kick off mistake.

I wasthinking tonight. If we stay up. Let's pay Richards up and use our overseas quota to sign a much better player. If you are a quota player you have to be one of the best players in that team IMO.

Pat Richards isn't on the overseas quota. He is "Irish" and has an Irish passport so gets to play for us as he holds an EC passport.

The quota players are Fletcher, Dobson and Dallas.

Two errors from Richards tonight, at the time I was fuming but everyone makes mistakes :conf:

I'm not a big fan of his based on performance this season but hes had some decent spells. I feel he needs to be given a week off, to mentally get it together though dropping him might shatter confidence even more. Despite Noble "not being a fan" of Calderwood I think he should replace Richards next week, just to see how he goes?
