We are all down after that , it's the seeming lack of effort although everything they did came off lets just face it this team is not one of our best ,we lack something but not sure what, is it the off field problems with MO and Nobby is it Nobby's coaching are the players good enough people say captaincy well don't think any of our best could motivate this lot at times or are we feeling the same as other teams who we beet regularly in matches when we were good .
yours truly gutted

What we lack is leadership on the pitch. I wish O'Laughlin would speak to his brother in law about captaincy because he hasn't a clue. Farrell was one of the best captains I've seen in any sport.
Faz was one in a million though. Who is to say that O'Loughlin is a bad captain? How do you tell that a captain is good from the stands? All you can see is shouting at people behind the sticks isn't it? There must be more than one way to captain a side?

Complacency can hit any team occasionally: remember Wembley '98? That was a pretty decent side we had then (and a pretty good coach, come to that!)...
It just happens too often with this lot.

You grow up and stop spitting your dummy out, accept defeat instead of abandoning your home team, you stick by them through thick and thin no matter who’s playing or how they play.
I didnt say i was abandoning anyone you pratt. One of the problems is people like you accepting deafeat so easily from a team that looked like they couldnt be botherd & then patting them on the back and saying never mind it doesnt matter,Well it does matter to a lot of loyal supporters who have and still do stick by the team through thick and thin.Ted Mac will probably be at the JJB for the Giants game he,s just gutted at the manor of the defeat and everything else thats gone on over the past few weeks & months thats all.Its not disloyal to critisies Wigan you know, its called having an opinion.

Nobody is saying teams cannot have a blip. However, this present team has recurring blips. Whatsmore when they win they often make hard work of it by going off the boil inexplicably. We want thee players to consistently strive and give their best week in week out. The conclusion many have reached is that the present players do not do so.
Anyhow, Tough Love is the best kind

I was very gutted as I hate it when we lose so don't tell me I've accepted defeat easily. Can I remind you of the topic title, sounds like abandoning to me. And what’s with the pathetic name calling (pratt) looks like some one needs to grow up

Just chill folks. No need for name calling.
Ju, is watching the Latics not more or less an identical experience to what we had today. Headless chickens running around with no idea what to do.
