Whilst not wishing to "interject" in this petty squabble. I must admit that CPWigan has done a 100% turnaround concerning his opinion regarding Ian Lenaghan, who he berated with some disdain after the last fan's forum, but now openly lauds his current decisions/explanations.

Anyone IS entitled to their own opinion (whether right or wrong), the fact that fan's opinions alter because of someone's actions/words shows a willingness to progress and learn from their earlier prejudices/stance.

I, as a fan (and for what it was worth), did not want to pay my hard earned money watching another underachieving poorly coached side, fuddle their way through matches against (imo) inferior opposition, whilst sat with my friends in utter tedium wondering how our more "illustrious" neighbours might be "getting on" in their match via the radio!

I do not gloat over the contract of Noble running its course, he was allowed to fully end the 3 1/2 years of his term to its completion despite intense speculation during that time of possible replacements. A coach lives and is judged on his coaching record, I do not need to place any details within this thread - others have done this elsewhere, Nobles win/loss ration whilst at Wigan was one of the worst of ALL the coaches that Wigan have had over the last 12 years or so, so why should he have deserved another contract?

This is sport, we play to win, losers come second. Unfortunately, like so many others with the love for the British "nice loser" tag, Mr Noble fell into the latter category during his spell at the club. If he succeeds at any other club during the remainder of his coaching career, it will not be because or or in spite of his stay at Wigan.

The king is dead, long live the king - get over it and start to build the excitement for a new dawn.

:D Peace everyone :D

More like 11 for me sir.

I fully expect to have won one of the major trophys over the next 3 years.
If it is only one trophy in 3 years I think Maguire will be deported back to Oz. I am hoping for 3 or more out of the 9 on offer.

Yeah I meant at least 1 trophy. I think it could be the perfect time for us, with Saints position looking very precarious we are well poised to take over them in the top 2. Leeds are a much bigger hurdle though, so the Challenge cup final and a top 3/4 league finish is IMO a realistic aim (and improvement) for next season. Years 2 & 3 we should be aiming for top 2 finishes and trophies.
It will be tough as I think Wire will be very strong from the off next season.
