Charged with Grade C offence for the spear tackle (2-3 matches), but no charge for the forearm.

Westwood also charged for smacking Lauaki, but Morley no case to answer because he is a good little boy.

so bascially the penalty that got them another 2 points should have been awarded to us and the RFL have decided that the forearm wasn't even penalty sufficent? and if that's the case then westwood should be banned for striking and miss the saints game.

off thread slightly but I'm ranting at the minute. so that's 2 points for the forearm and 6 points for the briers offside try. well in silverwood.

Unbelievable - Morley, no case to answer? He should have gone for the "tackle" on Prescott. It really annoys me to hear people spout crap about him being a "model professional" he's an old school dirty thug and a disgrace. Higham was banned for 3 tackles for a very similar tackle on Burrow; yet Morley gets nothing?

The RFL and all of the referees need replacing - I am sure there is a zoo that can spare a few chimps...

Lauaki was an idiot, twice. But before we hang, draw, quarter and blame him outright, let's reflect on our decision to take 2 when we had them on the back foot.

From the restart, Preccy took the ball up and lost it. Which he seems to do every match on his first touch of the ball. 2-6 with 6 points thrown away!

I'm a fan of Preccy but when he gets his first touch of the ball, its like being on a DanAir flight and wondering if the wheels are going to drop ok!

I agree Cherry. Preccy might only make one handling error all match. But it always seems to be with his first touch!

I disagree with nearly everyone on here. I actually think that Lauaki will be a great player for us this year. He is big and aggressive - just what we need against the likes of Warrington who dominated our pack last year.
We needed someone who is firery and can dish it out - lead with his forearm on the odd occasion. That's exactly why we hate Bailey and Morley but you need someone like that in your side. The same reason that we love Hock. I think for years we have missed someone like Kelvin Skerrett who would dish it out, and rough up the opposition and I think Lauaki will do that this year.
Our pack is better than any other in superleague and I think it only a matter of time before we start to gel with all the changes. Lauaki was not to blame for this defeat. It was because of an interception try, a Richards slip etc and the fact we have no world class centres.

can someone please explain to me how it was not a knock on when preccy had the ball robbed off him?

Myler pulled it out towards the Wigan line!!!!!

I didn't think it was a knock on, I thought the ball went backwards.
However, when Myler stripped the ball (legally) it was just after Preccy had put Bridge on his arse. Meaning that he was in front of Myler.
With it being Myler that stripped the ball and Bridge then picking the ball up, was he not in an offside position?
I'm not clutching at straws and looking for more reasons to justify our loss, I'm just after a clarification of the rule.

Eric Lauaki gets a 2 game ban for his spear tackle in 71st Minute on Friday. Took Early Guilty Plea. Misses Salford (A) & St Helens (A)
