I am all for locking threads were the discussion takes a wrong turn and either could break site rules or gets personal. However, sometimes threads just naturally evolve and as long as they are still a good discussion I don't see a problem with it personally. Being a biologist I am all for evolution, I mean where would we be without it!!

I would put Hardaker at centre move Bateman to the bench and go with Roby for 80.
As for the fitness levels if England move the ball around and move the pack around NZ will go as they did last week.
Not sure that I would move Bateman to the bench even. For me today he proved he is not an international centre but then we all knew that and Watkins was just as poor and he is an excellent centre. Thought his performance today would not have RU sides flooding to buy him after Leeds put him out on the market in the Burgess debacle.
If Hardaker goes to Centre who is our full back? Gale? Westwood and Farrell in the second row, the lad from the Bulls\Cats has been a sore disappointment for me in both tests and that may keep Bateman on the bench.

Who mentioned "locking threads"? ????
A slight detour is fine when it veers back on track, but to go completely off the rails & not even venture an attempt to return to the topic in question "Mac needs to improve" is beyond evolution, it is taking on Frankenstein proportions ???? ????????????
I actually thought I was reading a completely different thread ???? ????

Fitness would have been an issue if the NZ pack got moved round. Both sides are equally as fit NZ dictated the pace of the game and it was a bit slow at times.
England's 3 weakness is all apparent and needs to be sorted for next year. Hopefully ST comes in to FB that will improve 1 centre area, but is Watkins SL standard or can he step up.
Second row is an issue but lets hope Joel improves after the op. I watched us play Catalan at the DW this season and Whitehead was shocking he cost them 2-3 of first tries. He is decent nothing more. Bateman should go on the bench is a lot better than Whitehead.
