As fans we expect player to play for love blah blah of Wigan RLFC but it isn't rational IMO. How long is a good career? 10 years or 3 decent contracts? You see too many past legends hobbling about to say ignore the money. Good luck to whomever, they deserve all the money they can earn.

I don't blame any player for taking a contract that's worth more to them money wise all I hope for any player is the club they go to treats them well.

As I've said before, the person who says he doesn't go to work for money is a liar!cpwigan wrote:As fans we expect player to play for love blah blah of Wigan RLFC but it isn't rational IMO. However it's acceptable to go to work and enjoy it, and if you can get more and still enjoy it, all the better!!

This really annoys me. Why the hell do you knock the lads education and call him unwarranted names. What the hell as that got to do with playing rugby. For me he is a lad that thousands envy and only dream of playing proffessional rugby for the greatest rl team. I would gladly change my education for his place in wigans team. Usually find that people who look to bellittle others are covering for there own shortfalls.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.

Re: Crosby to Warrington
That is not the same thing as selling a contracted player to another SL club. A player expressing an interest to go to the NRL is a lot different to expressing an interest to go to Wire!Josie's friend wrote:IL has said he wont stop any players going to the NRL, Union etc, if he wants to go then he'll go contracts seen to be irrelevant.shaunedwardsfanclub wrote: My point is that he can't go anywhere if he is contracted to Wigan unless we agree to sell him. If he is not then the reality is that Wigan don't value him as high as Wire.
If Crosby leaves it will be because he is out of contract and got a better offer or Wigan have agreed to sell him. Not because Crosby fancies a change.

Chill, no Donald Trump nonsense here!
Re: Crosby to Warrington
Just popped over to rlfans and the Wire fans talk as if he has signed.
If so they have a very strong pack next season as Cooper is coming back from the NRL to play for them.

Providing cover in the front row with Navarrette signing looks like the option Wigan are taking with the departure of Crosby.
Maybe the contract Crosby wants is too high with the inclusion of FPN, and hence the signing of a player who will be on less money.
