Apologies Dave my mistake. I guess he can stay. He needs to damn well improve though. He runs like a sissy for his size.

Yeah but he couldn't see the trajectory of the ball until he was behind Orr and called it and i think that knocked his confidence for the one he conceded for the try. Im not defending the try he conceded but the goal line drop critisism is harsh.yokozuna posted:Like I said, it was a mistake. He didn't need to let it bounce at all, and was slow in getting to it.stevocod posted:
even if you deem it bad communication was a very unlucky bounce and could happen to the highest paid player to the lowliest amateur, just the way a rugby ball goes. Your being a bit harsh no matter how many miles away you are.
BUT, he's been one of the better players for us this season. I think he'll put this game behind him and show us how he can play from now on.
Quite simply it was not Richards fault at all that the kick off went out on the full.stevocod posted:
On that basis alone Richards was opting for safety first approach without realising where the ball was landing on a slippery surface. Whereas i agree with you it's his fault, it's still a bit harsh because Orr should have shouted too and claimed it.
Yes i agree blame does get thrown around alot on this forum, but Orr looked round as if Richards called, so he must have said something, but i am with you that Orr should have taken it.DaveO posted:Quite simply it was not Richards fault at all that the kick off went out on the full.stevocod posted:

Or should have caught it. He was in front of Richards, it was heading down his throat and he let the ball bounce which is criminal.
Richards had a poor game but if we start blaming him for things that were not his fault then that is when all logic goes out the window and before long everything bad about the team will be down to him.

If you read further back in this thread (or it may be mentioned on another one on this forum) the allegation is that Orr turned around to say "Yours" to Richards having made a mess of it himself. If correct that is pathetic as he was trying to make out he left it deliberately when he should have caught it.stevocod posted:

If that is the case I apoligise and hold my hand up, but the interpretation of it on Sky was that Richards called. I am only going on this and it seemed as if Orr responded and said yours after he called mine, so both players are equally to blame. But on the other hand Orr should have made a firm call either way.DaveO posted:If you read further back in this thread (or it may be mentioned on another one on this forum) the allegation is that Orr turned around to say "Yours" to Richards having made a mess of it himself. Well he shouldn't have left it in the first place and Richards didnt know it was going to bounce short of him because Orr was in the way. Butterfingers comment is harsh on that particular incident because of the weather conditions and the fact it hit the ground first.mike binder posted:
prat richards called for it no /? asked and orr had to leave it ,but he want leave it for butter fingers next time :eh:
