ws a bit better than usual
Your right, but if you read the previous threads on other Posts, it was only because he was not penalised for some of his usual errors
I don't remember anyone making such comments about his performance on Friday. Ok, so he got pulled early on for a high shot, but he was more than putting in the work in defence the rest of the game, and if any Wigan player was criticised on Friday it was Logan with the poor tackling technique, not Lockers. The lad can't do right for some folk...

Sorry, dont agree. One game is not good enough - he supposed to be Captain and lead by example. He does neither.
We need to get rid of him and sign a decent forward and shug off his link to Farrell.
So I'm forced to go back to that old question... if you get rid of him, who do you want to replace him with (who might realistically be available, given salary cap and quota considerations)? It's no good just saying "we should get rid", you need to come up with some alternatives if you want to be taken seriously.

Maybe we should put that to a vote, I'm not convinced there's as many people as you think would get rid of him. A lot of people have questioned whether he should be captain, but that's a different thing to his general play.
I wonder what Mr O'Laughlin senior thinks about his son apparently only getting recognition because he is Faz's brother-in-law...? I've only seen his play on video, but he looked a pretty useful player in his day himself.

I've not seen any evidence of a kicking game from Fletch, I want my LF to have a bit of a creative game rather than just being another 2nd row. As for the Bradford guy, I presume you mean Langley who's contracted until the end of 2007.

good point but do you really want a kicking loose when we've got Barrett and Leuileuia (maybe) at half-back next year?

is this the turning point in his (short) wigan carear
If he has a short Wigan career it would because he chooses to leave.Every coach in superleague will see that he's quality, even if you don't!

Why not? We had one in Farrell when we had (apologies if I miss anyone) Robinson, Orr, Lam, O'Neill, Florimo, Casper, Henry Paul etc at half-back. A team gets very predictable if they rely on just one or two kickers all the time, it does no harm at all to have a bit of variety. Tickle has stopped doing any kicking in play this season, Higham doesn't seem to have a kicking game unlike Newton, and Rads bless him probably can't kick anymore!
