Why would he have to keep hush hush about it Turf?
...not being cynical or owt but last post sounded like you were asking Laura not to say anything on here if she did know?
...could be dillusional paranioa though seeing I've been doing our final accounts all weekend and am still in work......

if it was so hush hush, he wouldnt have made it public to 6,000 fans on friday, by pointing and shouting in Ashton's face.

I would have thought that whatever went on in the club would have to stay in the club? It was like that the other week, Noble said that he had given the three quarter line SOME stick during the week after Huddersfield.
But yet he kept that on the quiet didn't he, he didn't reveal exactly WHAT stick he had given them!!!!!!
Sorry for any offence!!!!! None meant!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He certainly DID give Ashton a right rollicking. Ashton looked frightened to death of him and just looked up to Fielden as if to say, "ok sir, whatever you say sir
Fielden looked like he was going to HIT Ashton. What was the rollicking over? Or was it just frustration from Mr Fielden.
Fielden wanted to be rollicking Silverwood not Ashton.
I DO agree though, Fielden has gone down in my estimation for that.
The players do need a stern telling off by someone. Farrell used to do this, as to "gee" up the players and get them motivated, and make them want to make a menz. Fielden was doing what any captain should do, whether it be out of frustration or not.

No worries Turf - like I said, I've been looking at Balance Sheets and Cash Flow statements for the last 10 hours.... :craz:
...and the feking things still won't balance....seriously considering putting in an "adjustment" known as a balancing figure......

You had me worried that I had caused offence for a minute before!!!!!!!!! Jeez!!!!!!!!
Just one question WxmWarrior, when will we know if Ashton's playing or not? Probably tomorrow's WEP or the Observer or something like that?
Although I am begining to not worry that it is no a break tht Ashton has, he could have some serious damage elsewhere in his ankle from the look of him limping off on Friday night.

I would imagine Nobby would name his squad on Tuesday / Wednesday in line with the 4 day guidelines.
I'm not overly worried doesn't sound like it's too serious and we have cover if needed... much rather see him on the field of play though, I think he'll score plenty for us this year now that the ground is firming up and Trent is splitting defences for fun

Don't forget WxmWarriors that also you say Trent is splitting defences for fun and (not many people will agree here) but you can bet that with the amount of times that Ashton supports, if Trent can off ooad to him, they won't stop Ashton has he has the speed.

...sorry Turf...that was the point I was making. As long as Trent is breaking Defences down it gives the likes of Calderwood / Ashton / Higham gaps to hit at pace.
