The point made by someone else about would Myers who he replaced have done as well says it all. There is no way Myers would have scored many of the tries Offiah did therefore the only conclusion is Offiah contributed to his own success as much as the team he was in did.

He made a name for himself by joining the best of the best in the days when MoMo couldn't keep his hands off the chequebook!!

Had he not signed for Wigan, he would have eventually faded into obscurity alongside the likes of similar talents such as John Woods and Des Drummond!

Why do you think Mo signed him in the first place? He was already an emphatic finisher at Widnes. He spent the majority of his career at Widnes and Wigan so when he finally left Wigan he did not do so in his prime, just like Edwards.

Des Drummond was a great little winger and we have had others such as Gill and Ferguson and Offiah is easily up there with them and of course scored more for Wigan than the either of those Wigan players.

He certainly would not be commanding anything like the respect he now aspires to enjoy as a pimp!!

Well I don't think he enjoys much respect as an agent or pundit but as a player you are way off the mark as regards how he is viewed.

Personally, I always thought it was a penis thing with Mo. But, as an aside, how now ironic did it later become that the man whose borrowed cheque book came close to destroying Rugby League as a competitive sport, should eventually almost destroy his home town club with the Salary Cap he was instrumental in introducing!!
