There were several challenges in that game on our players which were similar, below the knee!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

The RFL world is very vindictive and they have got their hooks into Lima

Do you know this certain Cp?, I for one would not be surprised if this was def the case. Why they should have, i'm less certain
Pure conjecture Morph but there have been examples previously and sadly Lima has become a target. One surmises the Leeds players dicussed Lima beforehand etc and planned to go OTT in their reaction should anything happen. Ironically, Lima IMO is a clean tackler in the sense he seem not to go high and I know what the claim will be but the last time I watched a RL game, tackling was about attacking the ball carrier legally but as hard as possible and players going low are IMO far better than some of the high stuff that gets ignored.

I agree. Has Carvell totally got away with his "challenge" on Dureau? If so, exactly what message are the RFL sending to clubs/players?
I have always felt the RFL have acted like a Yorkshire Mafia over the years, even more so since the introduction of Super League and the Hetherington "influence". I am hoping (wishfully) that Widnes entry into the SL will somehow offset some of the Yorkshire bias currently seen.

Time and time again you see Wigan being attacked in the media often by present coaches such as Kear who I am dismayed at given he is an ex Wigan employee.

The hatred and jealousy that surrounds Wigan is pitiful. The concept of the RL family is a joke.

Never bought into that BS since Leeds kicked the original Bramley into oblivion for their own self-serving needs.

I really think its time that Mr Lenagan stopped his softly softly approach with the RFL because we are being royally shafted. Lima was banned for his chicken wing tackles but others have done worse ones since and not been banned, he now will almost certainly be banned for a tackle which started at waist height and became dangerous. Whats the difference between this and a tackle that first hits the chest and goes up to catch the face or head, apart from the anatomy.
We need to spend some of the money we are saving on Gleason on getting Nick Freeman or Giovanni de Stefano to represent our players at the RFL because being nice is not working

Hardly surprising if you remember why huffing and puffing on this theme I would caution that on Boots n'all the tries last night both Terry O'Connor and Barry Mac, neither of whom anybody could claim was never a hard man, were both incensed at the tackle and suggesting that it could have been seaon ending if not career ending and I don't think that either player was blowing Sky bubbles like Eddie.
At the end of the day he has only been charged with a much lower grade offence than Long so we shall just have to wait and see, say 1 Match and £500?

After watching the incident over and over and over again I can agree with most points, yes he hits the thigh of the raised leg and yes he slides down and releases the leg when he knows its causing undue pressure but it is a stupid tackle all the same. He shouldnt be banned too much was made of it for what it actually was and after all he didnt get stretchered off to hospital he should get a warning and a fine if he commits offence anytime soon 2-3 games on the sidelines. Whats more infuriating here is the fact that the RFL picked up the ben cross incident yet brush it away. now correct me if i am wrong didnt he try to cause a ruckus about 3 times and everytime tempers brewed over wernt the leeds players moving forwards looking for trouble and the wigan players moving backwards peacemaking???
