Back to MM. he didn't have his best season, but he couldn't have been any worse than Roby yesterday. Poor kicking, conceded penalties, knock ons and the forward pass that gave NZ field position for their try.

He is without doubt a good player but I have said it for years, in the truly big games he is always found wanting!!

Who mentioned "locking threads"? ????

A slight detour is fine when it veers back on track, but to go completely off the rails & not even venture an attempt to return to the topic in question "Mac needs to improve" is beyond evolution, it is taking on Frankenstein proportions ???? ????????????

I actually thought I was reading a completely different thread ???? ????
Correct me if I am wrong but threads get locked if they go off topic do they not?

Like you did with the one I started titled 'Carney to.....'?
I locked that thread because it wasn't just going off topic, it was starting to be a slanging match & name calling.

Sorry if you disagree, but I will unlock your thread if you so wish? Let me know :)

A view I hold is that Mac can do a lot more but equally far too often Wigan under Wane fail to play in/around the POTB in numbers and work off their hooker. We are at our worst far too lateral and I know others did not enjoy the game but NZ and England would have put 40+ points, probably 50/60 against a team playing like Wigan do.

Mac can and needs to do a lot more. He needs to kick. He needsto play make. To do that he needs a better game plan!

I think not being involved with England will mean we see MM back to his best next season and I agree he needs to take more responsibility with ball in hand.

He's had an operation on his shoulder/arm and has a sling on at present, or at least he did a couple of weeks ago.
