So KFC is saying he is not going to the snakes now "I think"

If this is the case its the worst news for the Wigan club in many many years.

Its not just the worst for our results in the future but the worst result for the fans having to watch a team lacking in entertainment, creativity and imagination.

Are they worth your hard earned money?

A very sad day.

On the up side it may gee smith up for one of the 4 good games he has a year as basically kfc says he ain't good enough, which he isn't.

I've never felt such a disassociation with Wigan in all my years of supporting them

Cunningham says NO and I believe him, but it's
possible that Smith wants to leave, he has reason.

I agree with you regarding the lack of togetherness of the club and fans... I cant put my figure on it but yes the club seem distant from the fans at this time.... I'm guessing this is something that will seep into the team...

I honestly think we may still be up at the right end of the table this year and next but that does not take away how the team are performing on the field.. I have never been so uninspired by the Wigan club in all my life.

Maybe the club don't comment on rumours ?

After all, in a town like Wigan rumours are rife most of the time so they'd probably need a completely separate "Rumours Dept" to give credence to all the stories, which begin at every pub and workplace in the town.

A town like Wigan? It was all over the press. It's taken the coach of our greatest rivals to comment. The speculation he was leaving has been going on for weeks and apparently he was booed at Cas. You think that would have happened if Wane or IL had put the rumours to bed?

There is obviously speculation about who is staying and going all year but this was being quoted as definite on the BBC for God's sake.

It's alright having a "no comment" policy and trying to run a tight ship but you need to show some common sense and react when things get as bad as this. Very poor by the club.

As soon as it made it onto skysports there should of been a comment. Fair enough WiganToday are forever dredging up rumours made on forums but as soon as a reputable outlet like bbc or sky start reporting on it we should comment one way or another IMO

The way the club communicates with its fans is shameful

I dont think there is a club in the league that takes its fans blind loyalty for granted more than wigan
