hey, higham has improved on his kicking sice his Stains day's and is shaping up well and then just because Fletch hasn't kicked doesn't mean he can't.
On the kicking front, who will place kick next year?

Sorry, dont agree. One game is not good enough - he supposed to be Captain and lead by example. He does neither.
We need to get rid of him and sign a decent forward and shug off his link to Farrell.
He gave away two penalties on Friday, he also made one handling error. Making 39 tackles per game is not unusual for O'Loughlin. Just because he isn't making break after break, kicking the ball in-goal and making it stop on the first bounce and doing back-handed flick passes doesn't make him pants. It makes him a solid, reliable player. He does give away the occassional penalty but that is because he does more work than virtually every other player.

Lockers did have a good game on Friday and led by example scored a try and 30 odd tackles made .I wish people would get off his back i admit thay he is not playing to his full potential but would you be able to do after a terrible Knee injury. The captaincy was given to him to make him stay at Wigan ,his contract is up this season .If we lose Lockers it would cost alot of money to replace him with who???????is there any one better in SL at the moment he is talent and it will be a big loss if he left the club .Like i have said before i have seen a lot of Rugby League in my time and Lockers is CLASS but people on here cant see it on here GET REAL

I wonder what Mr O'Laughlin senior thinks about his son apparently only getting recognition because he is Faz's brother-in-law...? I've only seen his play on video, but he looked a pretty useful player in his day himself.
Now you are showing your (lack of) age Fraggle.

Keiron O'Loughlin was a very good player in his own right the talent runs in the family.also his brother Kevin was a good player for Wigan

I dont understand some of you people sticking up for O'loughlin, he is NOT a good captain!!! period. its about time some of you woke up and smelled the coffee. And for the record maybe what we need as captain is a hard, aggressive bloke like fletcher, who isnt affraid to speak his mind, not some yes man, shy lad like O'loughlin.

In my posts i have never stated that O'Loughlin was a good captain ive smelled the coffee as you say lad at every ground in the Rugby League and i can see talent when its there and Sean is talent .Sean was made captain so that he would stop at Wigan when his contract is up .You don't need to shout at players lilke FAZ used to do to be a good captain IMO he has led by example behind a bad team he cannot take the blame for all that has happened on the field .

Watch O'Loughlin's manner on the pitch. He doesn't go out there and lose his head. He stays calm and does the job required of him and some.
He keeps the referees on side by not moaning at them, like the opposite of what Lee Briers does, for example. You often see him going up to the referee and having a quiet word.
His work rate is immense, he is top tackler week in week out for us. Not only does he tackle well but he tackles intelligently. Count how long he takes to get up each time the tackle is completed, its more or less the same time throughout the game, he knows exactly how long he has got to get up without slowing the attacking side too much. Occasionally he does give away a penalty but he's spot on most of the time.
It's not just his defence either, count how many carries he has each game, he'd be up there near the top too.
O'Loughlin isn't out there shouting and ranting at the rest of the team, he isn't Farrell like most people want him to be. He's a different player, but if every other player in the Wigan team looked at how O'Loughlin plays it should inspire them to put in 100% effort, as he does.
