Far too often we have played poor beaten up sides and lost and that allows fuel to the fire for some. Instead of praising us its easy to hide under the flag of they were crap. When they were made to look crap.

Its wonderful. Fitter, stronger, bigger athletes in a higher standard comp than in the 1980s. Its more even overall, but the very nature of the game means we'll see blowouts when a team gets a roll on.

Its not got as many overseas stars as 3 or 4 years ago, but that's due to changing economic conditions. Not a lot we can do about it and in 20 years when Aussies economy has tanked again all the "NRL" players will be back over here again.

Hull were hopeless or do you think they were great?

SL at the moment is woeful, we are luckily one of the best of a mediocre to abysmal competition? Several of SL now struggle to beat the best in the Championship that is how bad things are in SL; a competition in decline year on year! or do you think standards / quality are getting better?

Last time I looked Mike SL did not start in 1980. Is SL better or worse than it was 10 years ago?
