I, for one, am definitely not a ‘Smith hater’. On the contrary, I think he’s been fantastic for us over the last couple of years and will only get better as he gains more experience. My point is that he will feel disappointed with himself tonight as Bentley got to him. I agree he was frustrated and there is a huge amount of pressure on his shoulders without Bevan but getting himself banned will hurt us as we don’t have another tactical kicker currently in the team. All part of the learning curve for him but he needs some help from the coaching staff…hence my comment about someone having a word with him this week. I expect him to be our 7 for many years to come and to lead us around the field to more trophies

If keighran and smith are banned its hampshire and farrimond in the halves.Hooefully none but if its only smith( as i reckon) then its field and farrimond in the halves and eckersley at fullback which isnt so bad.You never know but french could be fit as its all hush hush

Agreed I can take any loss against a superior side (Leeds certainly ain’t that) and I can take a loss if the side competed against a lesser side (which Leeds are) but what I simply won’t accept is crap like that rounded off by the sheer petulance of Smith.

Leeming to 7 and Forber at 9 is another possibility but a big ask with both just coming back from injury.

Now that would be some headache for any defending team.If he is fit and thats our halves i cant wait.Hopefully the rfl are nice with the smith ban

Completely right.
Players do need a rest and that’s down to the coach. A fresh young lad, ok maybe inexperienced but he will run all the game and give players a good needed rest and hopefully avoid injury. Our right hand side is a big problem, pointed out by the sky pundits. I’m not convinced by Keighran, Miski gets through a good amount of work but comes inside too much, like a lot of our players at the moment, and Faz needs a break I think people forget he’s 34 now you can see he’s lost that edge as well.
