thoguh i beleive superleague that our first half performance was outstanding and based on that we deserved to go in leading and i think we deserved to win only for the second half to be a complete lack of stamina and quite frankly a waste of time

I agree superleague, we was very lucky going into the half winning , we had the purple patch to the end and the rest of the half beforehand it was one sided all the way.
at least we are agreeing on something lol

They could of had three tries themselves so i was counting my lucky stars we went in like we did.
Yeah, but they didn't score those tries did they? So why does that make us lucky, we played well that first half and fully deserved to go in with that score at half time.

No we didn't. We were lucky to be 16 nil up. We could not get out of our own half for 25 mins.

We were fortunate Leeds bombed those chances but the score certainly did not reflect the game at half time.

I have see it posted on various message boards that we played superbly in the first half and I can only conclude those that post that have not seen the game.

Well I saw the game, I was there and I didn't feel worried about Leeds in the first half. We took the chances and we converted them into tries and we played some good rugby. It was the first time in the last year that I've watched a game and felt excited, the atmosphere around us was buzzing with hope that we'd keep it up. We didn't, and we deserved to lose but I don't think we can take away the effort from the first half.

Excellent stuff to watch yet again!

And the same as last week our number 8 is a pudding, 10 is a show pony and Fletcher is no centre.
Err, What?

Of all the players we have - Numbers 8 and 10 are two that deserve criticism?

Logan is a pudding? - I think that he has so far been the 2nd best signing. He takes the ball up and usually attracts several defenders to bring him down.

As for Feka being a show pony? Ask diskin - I'm pretty sure he still has the hoof prints from being run over. Feka takes the ball up with 100% commitment and along with Godwin was one of our best players on Friday night.

I can understand criticism for the backs and halves - but I find it odd that you are having a pop at these two.

As for Fletcher being a centre - are you sure you are on about the right team?

Why Brown was chosen over Orr is a mystery. Whilst Orr is probably the most hated No 6 we have ever had at least he can tackle and I would rather have him in the squad than Brown. One thing is for sure - it wasn't his fault (for once) that we didn't have a kicking game on Friday night.

For 15 minutes. As I said we could not get out of our own half for 25 mins. A big part of why was we had no kicking game.

There was good defence by Wigan in that 25 mins as well as missed chances by Leeds but we had to defend like mad to keep them out for too long.

Ultimately that tackling stint in the first half will have contributed to us falling apart in the second. If you are having to defend as we were for the majority of the first half something is wrong and that is why I say it wasn't a great first half for us. We were not playing the game in the right half of the pitch for most of it, theirs!

I was as excited as anyone when the tries went in and that kick from Richards for Ashtons try was worth watching but when half time came I could not quite believe how we were 16-0 up.

I bet the Leeds fans could not believe it either given the attacking opportunities they had.
