Thought Currie had a cracking game ????????yokozuna wrote:Warrington were pretty poor tonight and were lucky that Catalan literally threw the game away when the had the chance to go two scores clear.
But Ratchford, despite a dodgy moment early on, had a very good game and deservedly got the MOTM. Not sure where he'd play for Wigan, but I'd definitely be happy to see him join the club.

Re: Ratchford
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Doesn't that potentially cause a problem in itself? Especially when you consider our need to retain existing talent?yokozuna wrote:Warrington were pretty poor tonight and were lucky that Catalan literally threw the game away when the had the chance to go two scores clear.

Re: Ratchford
Centre would work for me. Or backup full back if Sam is injured or wants to move around.

Could be a very top player, he has pace to burn for a big guy. It will be interesting to see if Wire can hold onto him, maybe the marquee rule will be helpful. Did Wigan try to sign him as a junior CPW?cpwigan wrote:An immense talent!josie andrews wrote:Thought Currie had a cracking game ????????yokozuna wrote:Warrington were pretty poor tonight and were lucky that Catalan literally threw the game away when the had the chance to go two scores clear.

He chose Warrington over Wigan, they 100% tried to sign him.

Re: Ratchford
Ratchford surely is a half or full back?
I know McRae played him almost everywhere at Salford but at Wire he seems to be favoured for those positions.
He's not needed at half back as we've a surplus.
I can't recall him playing centre for Wire but he could well have done.
At present we have Sarginson, Gelling and Thornley who are all centres. If Thornley doesn't make it back and Sargy goes for 2017 I'd rather bring an academy player through or sign from either SL or NRL.
Which ever position we might fancy Ratchford for I'm sure we can do better than him if we plan ahead with recruitment selection.

He's a very good utility player. There is a guy called Mitch Auberson who plays for Sydney Roosters and he is worth his weight in gold, Ratchford is very similar.
