Personally if CP has been banned then certain mod needs to stand aside also

It was Mike, the site owner, who instigated the ban. He asked the opinion of other mods about it first but had come to the conclusion the personal comments in many of CP's posts were driving people away from the site (in a nutshell) as traffic was down. CP was informed by email of this decision when he was banned by Mike but has taken to posing as someone else to get back on the site. Make of that what you will.

I am sure will will see another "new" member arrive soon.

gpartin you have a big point there as last year when we lost the first 3 games of the season there was huge debates about how Noble should be sacked and one of the biggest contributers to those threads was CP. i dont remember any insults he dished out, anyway this year i think we have commented on it a few times that this site has been less active because we have been playing so well and there has been less rows. simples

Mike emailed more than just myself. I have no idea who else responded but whoever did or did not the final decision was Mike's and so I suggest you take it up with him.

And that goes for anybody else with their own conspiracy theories.

so Mike made the decision and then emailed the mods? differnet to the inital post Dave. if so it may be his site but hes out of order also.

Mike floated the idea of banning him then decided to do it. I got copied in on the email conversion between Mike and CPW about being banned. Mike gave him his reasons.

As to emailing him and asking him to back off rather than a ban I believe he had been warned previously (not by me before someone accuses me of doing that!).

No one other than Mike instigated the idea of a ban for CPW and though I felt he deserved it there was no way I was going to ban him, or suggest to anyone be banned because I knew it would not be seen as being unbiased.

It certainly looks like I was right on that score given the reaction in this thread. So though several people would seemingly love it to have been my idea, it was not.

However I knew if given enough rope he would eventually hang himself which he did and I support Mike's decision. If people don't like it, tough and once again I suggest you take it up with Mike.
