We are way off a play off team - nuff said.
I thought this ref was OK but v. poor tonight - we accuse them of only watching one team, tonite he was watching one man -Bateman.
Bentley could have seen red but the ref clearly stated that it was "just a petulant kick" but naughty boy Bateman ran after Bentley so both see yellow.
In the 2nd half we get a pen but ref threatens to reverse it and bin someone for running in. 2 minutes later Saints get a pen and run in but Batemen gets the yellow...Isa loses it at this point and deserves his later yellow.

i am really concerned regarding a couple of our younger players.
Havard is struggling and really lacks the aggressive streak to become a super league top prop. He needs Smithies and Partingtons attitude.
Smith what can i say offers nothing , no pace lacks the basic skills to be a top class super league scrum half. Worryingly compared to Dodds tonight he looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights, There is no way we can build a side around him going forward

Fair comment - but, put Smith behind Saints pack and it'd be a different story.

I left with ten minutes to go tonight; we never looked like scoring a try. Wide open spaces on the stands though, most of my usual neighbours were missing, I can't blame them. Desperately disappointing, Lam can't go soon enough, I hardly care who is in charge as long as it isn't him. Was worried about the injury to Marshy, but fortunately he came back on, so I guess it's not that serious. He seems to be about our only attacking threat these days, but once again there is neither platform nor structure. Saints were dull (even Hull KR played better rugby!) but they never needed to get out of second gear.
I've got the Rabbitohs game to watch, and I don't know the result. Perhaps that will cheer me up a bit!

Doesn't look as good a player as Dodds, platform or no platform. There've been games this season where we haven't been bullied in the forwards, and have had a decent amount of field position, and Smith just makes too many unforced errors.

This is the first time I've seen Dodds play well, he has that nack of having loads of time - good prospect.
How much does it say about the Wigan set up? A lad that dominated the Aussie youth team looks lost now.

The game is littered with players who had a great game once and never kicked on,I hope Smith isn’t going to become another member of that class but from what I’ve seen of him I don’t buy the hype that is (diminishing)around him,is it another case of him simply being over played by Lam?
As for Dodds he looks a different prospect altogether since the last time I saw him play live he’s come on leaps and bounds since then but as ever time will tell with him

He’s no idea. There are more moves in a statue.
