He played well today and the tackle on Maguire was very good and the way he forced the Leeds winger to pass.

Back on the thread topic and I agree with what has been said on here, Ashton had possibly (I don't know) a better game today both defensively and attacking wise than he did against Wakefield down at the JJB.

He still looks a little bit over weight but perhaps he is bulking up for RU next year.

I think he reads this message board because he said in his after match interview that he has taken some criticism for his defence.

Nice of him to admit it!!!!!!!!!!!

He also said he is going to try and carry on from today and get better.
