Message for martinh (AKA cuckoo 2)

Matinh its not took you long to start another topic about attandances on your cockneyliar site has it?

It really must stick in your craw that a team playing in a dying minority sport such as Thugby league is currently averaging 17,995 which is a couple of hundred less than your wanabee team, in the biggest league in the world in the biggest sport in the world.

Yes and this is after playing some of the biggest SPORTING clubs in the world such as Man UTD Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal known the whole world over.
When we play little Catalan Huddersfield Wakefield the list goes on of small insignificant sporting clubs.

It hurts doesn`t it Martinh.

You all thought and hoped that Wigan RL would die once you reach the promised land. And yet the opposite has happened.

We are here to stay, get over it and stop sucking on that lemon.

Ive nothing against your club, quite happy for them actually, its the stone island wearing, C18
wanabees that give your club a bad name.
Congrats on stayin up!!!

Do you want to make a bet with me right now that that average will stay at 17,995? Two attendances over 20,000 have artificially swelled it (you must have creamed yourself when so many Wire fans turned up for the first game of the season). But normal service resumed against Wakefield and Quins. Now, with Hull KR, Hull and Catalans coming up, I confidently predict that the average will be nearer 16,000 in a month's time.

As for the Stone Island/C18 wannabes at Latics: what on earth are you talking about? There's been more talk of fighting on this board this year than on the Cockney Latic and - once again - I reiterate that I've not seen a genuine kick-off at the Latics since Carlisle United in the cup around 1985. Can the same be said about your tasty trips to Hull and Salford? Not if the messages on this very boaard are anything to go by. Family game, my ar$e.

And who's MartinH?

If we make the playoffs and get home advantage for a couple of games which will be sold out we will get over that.

As we have Saints, Leeds and Bulls to come home again. Each will be over or around 20,000

Last year you managed 17,000 against Leeds and only 15,000 against Bradford, so 20,000+ would be quite an achievement.

Martinh you fail to address the fact that our sport is a dying, regional minority sport when comparing with the mighty Tics who are playing in the biggest and wealthist sport in the world.

Fact:

In terms of Football your attendances are Sh*te
In terms of Rugby League our attendances are pretty good.

Martin h you crack me up
Just checked on cockneyliar board and youve started a thread on how Wigan RL or the chubbies as you call us are cutting prices for the Hull KR game.

Ive copied and paste a letter that they failed to print in the so-called thugby post. Just after you announced the Fantanstic Seven.

I`m not really into bashing Laticsas I feel for the club and players, its just the moronic fans I can`t stand.
Anyway back to the topic.
Who`d of thought it 2 years ago when latics got promotion to the PROMISED LAND` that it now costs less to watch some premership clubs at the JJB than for me to go and see the likes of Catalans, Wakefield and Hull KR.

REVISED PRICING POLICY IN FULL FOR WAFC REMAINING FIXTURES

Date Match Adult Price Conc Price

3 February PORTSMOUTH £15.00 £10.00
25 February NEWCASTLE £20.00 £15.00
17 March FULHAM £15.00 £10.00
7 April BOLTON WANDERERS £20.00 £15.00
14 April TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR £20.00 £15.00
28 April WEST HAM UNITED £15.00 £10.00
5 May MIDDLESBROUGH £15.00 £10.00

Added to that the quid a kid promotion for the Charlton game, bring a mate for a fiver for the Villa game and to top it all off FREE YES FREE tickets for any WRLFC season ticket holder (something that really gripes with the MAJORITY of Latics men) for the Watford game.

Some great ammo for all Wigan rubgy fans who have the same kind of workmates i have!!!

Who`d of thought it 2 years ago when they were constantly spouting on about how the ground would be full every week, you won`t be able to get a ticket and it was the death knell for Wigan RLFC.

Yours Popularmon

To top it all off the mighty Tics are about to announce season ticket prices for next year.
Rumoured to be around £180 for a whole season yes around £10 a game for the biggest league in the world in the biggest sport in the world.

People in glass houses and all that....

Last year we were struggling.

Just like the Latis ggates went down this season when they struggled.

Difference was ours went up at the back end of the season and have continually grown.

Yours have fallen.

Why oh why do you care?

As has been stated numerous times, the latics play in the top league of the national sport. Wigan warriors play in the top league of a sport that attracts less than half the national audience of your beloved soccer.

So surely it would be more representative to work out the what percentage of soccer fans follow the latcis and then work out the same percentage of RL fans that follow Wigan - although I guess those figures would probably not fit to your agenda.

Perhaps if you focused your energies on supporting the team you seem so proud of; rather than whittering on at another sport your team wouldn't have avoided relegation on goal difference on the last day of the season?

One last question: When do you think the latics will win BBC sports team of the year? You've got about 4 billion years until the Sun exhausts it's fuel supply - so the clock is ticking...

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

At least our sport is civilised.
Football trying to do a millenium magic type event would be a bloodbath.
I always notice walking past the stadium on a football match theres policemen on horses. Do you ever see them at the rugby?
Bet it makes you all feel dead proud!
